Days Inn by Wyndham Hays

I was initially impressed at first by the room set up and the fact the room had no odor at all. Once I turned the air condition on the room began to have a smell. Every time I went to the bathroom at night, I would see roaches and not the same ones. I killed any I saw but more came out. Also, Hays use to be a sundown town and feels a little like that still. The bathroom needs remodeling especially the tub where the surfaces were rough and the grout dirty.

The door to the outside of the room had a large gap at the bottom, there was grass all blowing into the room. Bugs all over the floor (both dead and alive). Bathroom needed better cleaning, lots of hair. Won’t be back!

Needs cleaning in the rooms and breakfast was missing a lot of main things (cold and hot water, tea, juice, fruit, salt…) Staff was friendly FYI, pool is closed

The price was good. Older room style but clean

Need better pest control. I killed 3 crickets during my stay.

The first room they put us in it smelled like the sewer backed up. Put us in another room the sheets were dirty. The pool was not opened. The breakfast was cold. The shower wasn’t working it had water coming out the spout & barely any water coming out of the shower head. We left the last night so we paid for the room anyway. Wouldn’t recommend that hotel to anyone.

There was what looked like dry blood in the bathroom and did not look very clean.

This hotel has become pretty run down. The pool is not usable, and breakfast was minimal. That being said, the beds were ok and the AC worked fine, so I was able to sleep ok.

I literally had to leave because there was roaches and I was afraid they were gonna get in my belongings. I never stayed there. I left. That whole building is disgusting

The room was clean. I tried using Netflix but it wouldn’t work. Breakfast was alright. I do think some of the options could have been better.

Dirty and stinky room

The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was closed. The parking lot had grass growing out of the cracks. The internet was open (without a password). Our commode leaked and we had to wrap a towel around the base to keep the water off the floor. The ‘breakfast’ was lukewarm gravy in a crockpot, undercooked sausage and the room temperature biscuit crumbled in my hand. There was no juice to drink. Also no coffee pot in our room. Not kept up well at all.

The room was newly updated, clean and comfortable. Everything about the place after that is run down and shabby the breakfast was not very good.

We were disappointed that the pool was closed. That was one of the main reasons for booking. We stayed because we didn’t want the cancellation fee. Which we could have managed not having the pool but the bath tub was dirty, there were stains on the towels & top sheet of the bedding. Breakfast was alright, we had to ask for more food to be put out. The good part was the actual bed (mattress) was lovely. We all got a great nights sleep. It was the cheapest option and it definitely reflected the price.

Location was nice. Originally booked a 2 queen bed room. We got to our original room and water was leaking through the ceiling in the bathroom. Went to discuss and they moved us to another room. There was trash on the floor of this room, and we booked 2 queen beds and they were 2 full beds instead. Bathroom tub was disgusting. You could tell it wasn’t cleaned and there was dirt and grime all over the bathroom tub. AC had a hard time cooling the room.
