Central location Historic and beautiful Nice staff Clean and comfy Not overly expensive

Location is very good. That's about it. The hotel is in need of major updates as it relates to safety, lobby furniture, bathroom fixtures, etc. Also, no where were we able to find out that you need to park in a garage not very close to the hotel. This made it difficult to find the hotel.

Beautiful. Very comfortable beds!

It was a great location. The day we checked in the man at the front desk ( I think his name was Temu P) he was so helpful and told us the history of the hotel.

Just a wonderful historic building in the middle of the city! Staff were the nicest!

The history and location were fantastic, but the staff really put this hotel above others, truly top notch service. No complaints

A lovely 16th-century building right in the center. Go left, right, or straight downhill and you will find everything. It is a bit ramshackle and is undergoing renovation. Little boys will love the full armor suits at the entrance and on my floor, probably theirs too. I thought the bed sagged, a double bed made out of two singles, both sagging, but the unsagging edges together at the middle were fine. The hot water took a while, but was hot. However, there was no shelf in the shower, which made it hard, if you wanted to use your own soap and shampoo, not theirs, and only have two hands. I enjoyed my stay and would come back. The last night, when I had to go to bed early for a train, I asked for a bottle of water. The concierge said the price was 7.5 euros (just under $10.). I wish that hadn’t happened. It put a gouging cloud over the place I liked staying at and even being patient with.

It is a beautiful building and the customer service by staff was excellent. fold out sofa I slept on was quite uncomfortable. While one doesn't expect perfection from a sleeper-sofa, there are better options available these days. It was hard to shower without water spilling out.

Very centrally located. Historical building. Could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom.

The building itself is beautiful, but we were contacted a week or so ahead of our booking to advise us that we could not be accommodated in the hotel but instead we would be placed at Palmbrau apartments a few meters away. No real reason was given for the change in accommodation, but as we were only staying for a single night we accepted the change. At check-in, I asked the staff member at the counter what the reason was and he was unable to explain why, instead deflecting the question and changing the subject - it made me wonder what he was hiding. The hotel itself had guests staying in it so it was fully operational while we were in town. Palmbrau serviced apartment itself was nice and comfortable; However, I couldn’t help feeling disappointed as we had intentionally booked Hotel Zum Ritter for the experience. Important to note - the streets outside Palmbrau apartments were noisy until 2am so I don’t recommend staying there on a weekend if you’re hoping to get any sleep! Finally, we had breakfast at Hotel Zum Ritter and it was definitely overpriced and lacking for a very basic selection of food - I do not recommend booking with breakfast.

Breakfast was fabulous. The position of the hotel was superb. Nothing

For this money was a perfect stay! Had everything I needed.

Mold on the corner, no WiFi, loud early morning noises

This hotel is 184 years older than my country of origin! (USA) Was very cool, kinda charming, a short walk to the castle, right across from the old church and bridge
-
Excellent location and attraction to stay in do old and historical hotel since around year 1600
-
Great location for visiting the old town. Staff could be more welcoming.

I loved this beautiful building. So much charm and character. I was only able to book two nights and then had to book a different place. The room itself was ordinary, though good sized, but there was a bathtub in the bathroom. The breakfast was amazing with mimosas and all sorts of other dishes. The price was excellent for such a great place. I wish my whole stay in Heidelberg had been here. Though the building and ground floor are amazing, the room was ordinary.

Good location Person at desk said she couldn’t check us in at 2:15 manager would be there at 3:00pm. Another pair was told same thing at 2:45 and we waited. Manager did not show up at 3:00pm. Girl working eventually got someone from accounting to check us in when 3 had come and gone
