I was traveling and couldn’t read his emails because I didn’t have internet access. Before judging someone, you should first try to understand their situation. Even worse, he left me out on the street. I was alone, exhausted, and unable to do anything. It was one of the worst moments of my life. I called him many times, but he never answered. His behavior was very rude, and if this is how guests are treated, it is better not to come to this place. Even in Brooklyn or at the Red Cross, people treat you better than this owner.

After you answer some questions, you are allowed to stay here. The beds are on the ground floor and the rooms are massive. There is a lobby, common area, kitchen, bedroom, and a small garden. You can choose your own bed and there is a small locker provided. I was alone here for 3 nights but I didn’t mind at all. I guess many ppl don’t bother with the questions and rather cancel. Anyway, the property is just a short walk away from the bus/train station and there are many small takeaways/restaurants nearby. The owner is a nice and talkative guy, who lives upstairs, I only met him briefly during my stay. -

Quiet place, near the shopping center

Great location close to shops station and supermarket. Frank was a legend and helped me find something I lost

Fair price and location. Too cold. The sleeping room was not heated. I stayed at the place in november.

The owner makes you answer some ridiculous questions and then if u answer one wrong out of 10 he would give you the code to the hostel and will make you stay all night on the street as he would not cancel your stay and making u believe that you have a place to stay the night

It's only a short walk to the station, from which it's in turn a short train ride to Eindhoven. Free basics provided, such as tea bags which I really appreciated. Due to the concept, guests were actually quiet, which is what I usually find does not happen in other hostels! Will most likely stay here again in the future. Facilities are made for really tall people, so a bit harder to use for smaller people like me. No door for the shower 'room', just a curtain so as a woman alone I did not feel comfortable to use it. No towels or hand soap provided, so do remember to bring your own!

The hostel owner sent some strange, unclear questions that had ended up in my email spam folder. My reservation was confirmed and was never canceled, even though the owner had known for several weeks before my arrival that I wouldn’t be allowed into the hostel—simply because I hadn’t responded to those mysterious questions. And that’s exactly what happened: I arrived, but no one was there. The phone number doesn't work, and no one replies to emails. No one showed up for 6 hours, and I was left on the street. The next day, I received a message from the owner saying that the money would not be refunded, as he had supposedly suffered losses due to other guests. According to him, I should be happy, because this would be a cheap life lesson. Frank, with this move you’ve seriously messed with your karma. And those €45 you kept will be nothing compared to the losses that are yet to come. ✌️

I used the place as a hub for exploring Eindhoven and other nearby towns. Not only did the accommodation meet my expectations, but Frank made sure to provide some quality chat since I was the only guest at the time. Just be realistic with what you expect and keep in mind most places charge 30€/night in Eastern Europe, so getting a warm place to sleep in the Netherlands for 15€ comes without certain commodities.

Also the bikes being free to rent (50 euro deposit) was great! The living space was quite moist and didn’t smell great when I first got there. I got used to the smell but was still a bit moist.

I really enjoyed the comfort and energy at Frank's hostel, it is a wonderful place to relax and interact. The beds have plenty of space between them and each bunk has its own curtains for privacy. I really like the concept of self sufficiency and each person being aware of each other and ensuring the space is kept clean and tidy for all. It felt very safe and peaceful, wonderful host, thank you!

nothing Everything. Hosts were dodgy people and didn't make me feel safe. The room was open and didn't have a door. Bathroom had no privacy as you could literally see over it. Room smelt of mold really strong and it was unclean.

People should be aware that this is the cheapest accommodation in the country, so having that in mind, you cannot expect too much. Frank has his rules and he makes it perfectly clear that in order to stay there you have to follow them stricly. I took that very seriously, cleaned after mynself, recycled properly, wiped everything after use, and spent there 7 days. We had absolutely no problems. Along the way, I made some lifelong friends at Frank's. Ventilation needs to be much better, the air is mouldy and stale, it was very difficult for me to breathe.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere inside the hostel, meeting and cooperating with people from different countries, as well as the self-sufficiency concept promoted by the host. Nothing negative to report.

The best place I would suggest, if you are travelling alone or with a couple of people. Very quiet place. I would highly recommend this place if you are planning a very long stay.

The room was nice and location convenient.

Quality and price range is very good and accepted for this stay. Would stay here again but for one night. What quests clean is clean and nice to use. But no one cleans things like the floor or dusts.
