Near the beach and kids loved the swimming and beach with turtles Amenities very outdated, washroom remain wet due to not water drain slope. Dinner was very ordinary compared to the price charged

Like all Cinnamon properties, you can always expect consistent quality. Clean rooms, working things, good service. The one highlight for me was, during dinner, the staff would keep an eye on everyone making sure things kept moving smoothly which meant that people who eat with their hands (as one does) would be provided with a finger bowl without being asked. I thought it was a marvelous touch. I was pleasantly surprised. Saw a school of 50 small reef sharks (50cm & not dangerous) and a moray eel (might bite) one random morning 10m from the shore which was super cool. And there is the big resident turtle thats always there. While the hotel runs like a pretty well oiled machine… it does need to upgrade to compete with the newer hotels and resorts popping up. If frills like a USB-C charging port arent a must, then you wouldnt care about this.

We stayed for 2 nights and on both days breakfast and dinner buffets were very tasty and a good spread. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed feeding turtles just outside the hotel premises Nothing

Me and my family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent just few steps to a beautiful beach where you can watch and feed turtles in their natural habitat (Turtle beach). The staff were outstanding throughout my stay. Everyone was warm, welcoming, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Exceptional customer service. The food was absolutely fabulous. Plenty of delicious options to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again! None

I loved the locations as it opened up to the sea shore. From morning to night you could enjoy the sea and its surroundings. I even saw so a sea turtle coming to the shore as well. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Morning walk in the beach was super beautiful. The pool was amazing it’s spacious and definitely a relaxing space. The property is somewhat old and I could see that inside the room. However it didn’t stop us from enjoying the stay.

Location is fabulous and the grounds and beach are beach are well maintained. Breakfast was good and the room was spacious and comfortable. The vista of the beach and Indian Ocean was stunning as werre the sunsets. Rooms interior and buildings exterior looking due for a refresh shortly.

If you plan on snorkeling in Sri Lanka, Hikkaduwa is the place to go - and there is no better option for your stay than Hikka Tranz! Great food with decent variety and particularly good sweets, pretty clean, stunning views and I definitely appreciated the dehumidifier in the room. The fact that you can always swim with a turtle right as you enter the beach right in front of the hotel is an unmatchable bonus. The place definitely needs a bit of a refresh and the elevators were simply awful (one of the 2 completely stopped working on day 2 of our stay). And I would say that the all-inclusive package may have not been worth it - while I do get the usual restrictions for only covering local drinks, I have to say it was a first to hear that they were only serving wine during meal service, exclusively at the main restaurant - so if you wanted a glass of wine by the pool, you had to pay extra.
