Nice location away from busy street, however shops, restaurants and transportation were nearby. Very nice view to the East over the river. My child loved the view and the big TV with Youtube. Also the friendly "grandfather" smiling at him and entertaining him while waiting for transport. The staff listened to our wishes and were able to communicate in English. Area has locals shops and businesses, nothing much for those looking Western style. But a bit further easy to go.

At first I was a bit shocked at how local the hotel was, not a tourist for miles, but the staff were friendly and efficient so I soon got over myself. Finding a packet of condoms in the room was a bit of a surprise and I did wonder if I had booked into one of 'those' hotels, but no, it was all above board, nice and quiet, and very clean, and I loved the extra touch of two free bottles of water a day. I ended up telling the housekeeping not to change my bedding every day - I was only booked in for a weekend. All in all, a comfortable, if a little worn, clean, quiet place to stay in HCMC. It was all fine.

Good sleep Everything was terrible. I'm a pretty easy going person but the room was pretty dirty and seemed to have been cleaned only on an emergency basis so it smelled really bad, there was a lot of hair on the towels and there were cockroaches in the hair dryer, the tables and chairs were very dusty and there was paper in the desk drawer of the previous guest. The staff didn't speak English and were pretty rude to me, the female staff was pretty rude when I asked about local tourist attractions, the night receptionist seemed new to the profession so I felt bad.
