I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my trip to Iceland. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. I wasn’t comfortable with my original room, and they immediately understood my concern and changed it without any hassle, which I really appreciated. After I checked out, I realized I had accidentally left one of my belongings behind. They found it, kept it safe, and returned it to me exactly as I had left it. That level of honesty and care says a lot about the people working here. Excellent hospitality, great service, and a team that truly cares about their guests. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland.

The room was clean. We had a view of the ocean. There was a sweet cat in the lobby, and there was a restaurant on site where you could order affordable pizza and beer. There was also a happy hour. The staff was willing to put our perishables in the refrigerator and our ice pack in the freezer. We had to cross the street to get to our room, and there was no elevator. The price was extremely high. The decor was a bit dated, like 1970s vintage and slightly worn. There was no refrigerator in the room and nothing but instant coffee.

The location was great. We ate dinner at the restaurant and loved our meal and drinks. There’s a nice outdoor area to sit and enjoy the views. The rooms are pretty small and the bathroom was extra tight.

The hotel is big with lots of rooms. Easy to get there. Parking is always full.

Location of the hotel is good with ocean view from the room window. That is probably all good we found. Room did two separate small beds instead requested queen bed. Room was relatively small and not cozy at all. The worst what the bathroom with absolutely minuscular sink and horrific smell of rotten show curtain - even continuously working exhaust fan could not remove this smell.

The room had more space than other hotels we had stayed in in Iceland. The bed was very comfortable and the comforters were very warm. It was in a good, central location.

A great location I didn’t know we were going to be in a building across the street from the hotel. It would’ve been more convenient to be in the hotel itself.

We accidentally left a diamond ring in the bathroom, and your staff found it and kept it safe for us. We are truly grateful for the honesty, kindness, and professionalism of your team. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff for your help and care. We sincerely appreciate your kindness, and this experience has made our stay even more memorable. We are very thankful and hope to have the opportunity to stay with you again in the future. No elevator, but that was ok for us.

Location was great and large breakfast selection. Spacious rooms. No elevator which made us carry our bags to the third floor. But that wasn’t a big issue.

Stepping into Hotel Höfn is like being transported back 50 years in time, at least if you were born in the 60s. The hotel has been tastefully renovated with the aim of maintaining the ideals of the late 50s. The staff are very friendly, the food is good and the beds are comfortable. Did I mention that the hotel is beautifully situated on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean and with a view of the glaciers to the east?!

Location is great close to many dinning options. Parking available on site. Clean and spacious rooms.

Nice views No elevators, no bell hop to assist with bags, filthy carpets, the rooms/hallways smelled musty, very small rooms, black mold on the ceiling and shower curtain in bathroom.

being greeted by Cinnamon, the cat concierge. wonderful did at the restaurant seeing the aurora from the harbor

Rooms are kind of small. Bathroom and shower area run together with a painted floor, kind of cheesy for everything else being slightly nicer. No elevator to get your suitcases and bags to upper floors, had to haul up two flights of stairs.

Nice place . Special mention to the professionalism of Reception Staff .The Nice Lady in the Reception was very helpful- Appreciate her Calling us to enquire about us and our drive to the north Early in the morning. There was a Storm warning . She called to my mobile to enquire about our well being and safety tips for driving through the storm. Thank you ( My Apology that I don’t recollect her name )

Didn’t know the room was not part of main building. Should show those outside buildings and not just have the main building.
