They stay was warm and friendly only thing was breakfast needs more attention to detail. Like milk being in proper jugs , toast not being made and buttered in kitchen simple things like better laying out of stuff. All other meals great breakfast lets it down a bit but new owners so time will develop Room was fine so was property

Location was great for our needs, the staff were welcoming, helpful and accommodating. The venue has a charm about it, complimented by comfortable rooms, great food and well priced for the area. I’m already staying again, and when returning to the area wouldn’t stay anywhere else! We weren’t staying long enough to try more of the menu!

Staff lovely Room unclean crap under desk, no mirror room only in bathroom, straighteners couldn’t reach from bedroom. Bed uncomfortable, dirty under desk, somebody’s spilled drink still over it. Bunch of hairs around the bathroom floor. Breakfast: milk sour, deep fried greasy mushroom and cremated hash brown.

We left early through no fault of the Bickford Arms, so never had the full English breakfast included in the price. We did eat lunch. The other two of my party enjoyed their lunch, my falafel flatbread wasn’t very enjoyable, the falafels were dry and there wasn’t enough sauce. I did not tell the owner so they were not given the opportunity to rectify anything. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was very good. The Bickford Arms is tired, it needs some TLC. Its 4 star rating seems to have been gained in 2012. There were lots of cubby holes bursting with stuff, ie Christmas tree, that should have been tidied away. The outside doesn’t look like the picture.
