Westcliff Lodge

Despite being an older facility they clearly take pride in what they have by keeping it well maintained and well stocked with amenities. The park like grounds are worth the stay as is the view of the mighty Columbia.

The pictures online were definitely misleading. Only a few rooms had the waterfront view. Rooms were soooo outdated, and again the pictures were misleading. For the amount of money this place is charging per night, I would not go back. The property was nice if you had the waterfront view. Our room looked in the parking lot and was the only window.

Get the river view unit...fantastic...enjoy the gardens....great place to stay

We greatly enjoyed our apartment suite unit with picture windows overlooking the landscaped flower gardens and the Columbia River Gorge. We saw windsurfers in the gorge every day, and we enjoyed walking and sitting outside on the property. Highly recommended choice of lodging in Hood River.

We appreciated the close proximity to the wedding we attended One of your staff members (I believe her name is Michelle—whoever was working the front desk on Monday August 17) was incredibly rude. And on multiple occasions. I had called a week prior to inquire about a later check out (only as late as noon) because I am a psychiatric provider who had to take some urgent calls with patients and it was important for me to be able to take the call in a quiet private space . I was in a place where it was a bit difficult to hear her so I asked if I may send an email instead and she interrupted me and said “no I would prefer to talk on the phone” She was incredibly rude on the phone that day and said my only option was to ask the morning of. And refused to make a note of our conversation. Inconvenient but understandable if that is the policy. No problem there. Monday morning I called to front desk as instructed and requested the late check out at noon. Once again she was curt and short and said that I better be out by noon sharp because they were expecting a full house that day. (Keep in mind that the entire weekend we stayed there the vacancy sign was on the whole time) . I logged onto my call and began to speak with my patients and at 1115am the room phone rang. I interrupted my patient appt and picked up the phone to have her once again on the phone incredibly rude saying “ummm check out was at 11” I reminded her that we had literally spoken just a few hours prior where we discussed and agreed to a late check out. She said “oh yea I forgot” and then we hung up For a hotel that we paid over $250 a night and didn’t even have a full length mirror this was incredibly disappointing. I’ve received better service at a motel 6. I will absolutely not return to the Westcliff lodge despite really enjoying the property overall. Michelle needs a vacation or some real feedback. It’s so incredibly unnecessary to be as rude as she was

Westcliff was very clean. I would say spotless! All of the housekeeping staff was so friendly! The landscaping was gorgeous and all of the landscapers were very friendly! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice and clean. Good AC. Family friendly, Really pretty grounds. Easy to get to and close to downtown Hood River. Would stay there again.

Such and beautiful property, the gardens were spectacular, the outdoor seating arreas were beautiful.

At first, pulling into the registration, I thought I just book an ordinary motel. But when I opened the door to my room I was blown away by the big room with the excellent view. A full kitchen. The grounds were beautiful with birds everywhere. Comfortable beds. The best place out of five hotels I stayed in all trip.

This is a beautiful property, stunning views and gorgeous landscaping. However, for the price maybe breakfast included would be a great added benefit. All was great
