Hotel Spa Villa Pasiega

We often stay at this hotel on our way to the ferry in Santander which is about a 20 minute drive away. The rooms are clean, a good size and with a huge jacuzzi bath. We had a meal in the restaurant which was fabulous and good value. There was plenty of free parking and we could see our car from our room window. We didn't have breakfast.

Easy access from the ferry,problem with room(window would not close) hotel quickly moved us to a new one Evening meal very poor,not suitable for a 4* hotel,dreary buffet with mediocre food.

The hotel is clean and well positioned for travel to the fery port. the rooms were large and the linen clean and crisp. Recption staff were very helpful as was the waiter in the breakfat cafeteria, The hotel is by no means 4 star. We were advised that we needed to book for the restaurant but no one mentioned it was a help yourself buffet with little or staff. When we asked where to sit and what the menu consisted of and even where to sit we were either ignored or treated quite rudely. The spanish dinners were all welcomed with a smile and given a menu, we asked for a menu and were treated to a grunt and a menu thrust into my hand. Even a simple thing like asking for a glass of wine and a bottle of water was met by a grunt. The food was in a buffet format, was lukewarm and a DIY project, to top it all when we asked for the chicken meal that was being served by the waiters the other side of the partition in the cafe we were told no in a very rude manner that the two menus were not interchangeable.. The hotel was fine but do not use the buffet restaurant unless you are fluent in spanish and quite assertive.

Spa was nice. Remember to take a swim cap. Choice of 3 restaurants for dinner. Electric car charge was out of service. Room was really hot and air con didn't seem to work.

Nothing out of the ordinary, average, regular hotel that's connected to a national road. They provided spa access but unfortunately we didn't have time to go. We booked 2 rooms, turns out that even rooms of the same category are wildly different (some bigger, some smaller, some with spa bath, some without). The safes provided in the rooms didn't fit more than a couple passports and some very small electronic devices.

Room, no window, only a skylight with no view. Claustrophobic. Access to the room, lift or stairs to another lift or stairs to get to the room.

The hotel rooms were spacious, clean and fairly comfortable. The hotel also had a nice spa area with a few small pools with warm water, a couple of jacuzzis, along with a sauna. This area could get crowded, but during certain hours, it was peaceful and calm. The location is fairly near to the Santander airport. The staff were also nice and helpful. There is not much around the hotel. I was expecting the grounds to be linked with some walking trails, but the hotel is located on a busy street/highway that is technically walking distance to some other restaurants, but is not in an idyllic location. I would only recommend this hotel if you want to be really near the airport, and want to have access to a hotel with a small pool and jacuzzi or are hoping for spa treatments. The hotel's restaurant is okay.

Convenient to the motorway. Good place to stop for a night. Nice rooms . Excellent bathroom. Good cafe/ bar. 15 minutes from Santander. The low ceiling in the bedroom.
