The rooms are clean except for a few slow/non-working electronics, including the fan and lighting in the restroom. You feel suffocated because there are no windows despite the air conditioner. Be mindful and watchful of your personal belongings as hotel staff opens your bags and belongings after you leave. I had my pearl necklace stolen, and after reporting the suspect, they claimed that the area was only for family members. They act as though they are attempting to assist you with CCTV footage and moving your belongings to a private room, but in reality, you lost your valuable item, time, and money. Be Aware and Stay Vigilant! Photo of the lady shared below, who took my bag without permission in her room stating for the safety reasons. There are 2 names and both belong to same owner. Be mindful.

Traditional Mexican decor. Shared kitchenette. Friendly staff. Plumbing was sketchy, sink in disrepair Cockroaches. Sheets and towel pretty awful. Restaurant food terrible but nice decor

The location was very good, quite central. We didn't get the room shown in the booking advertisement. There were bed bugs in the bed. The owner denied that they were bedbugs but through my previous work experience I am very familiar with what they look like. We asked to change rooms and the owner sighed heavily and begrudgingly agreed to do so. The water didn't work most nights so one couldn't flush the toilet or wash their hands. The internet was shoddy at best - it was constantly kicking us off/we couldn't get on for hours at a time. It didn't feel secure as the bottom gate to go up the stairs to the rooms on the second floor was not locked and the doors to the rooms were quite flimsy and could have easily been broken into by anyone walking by who would want to go up the stairs to the accommodations. And then finally, I asked the owner for directions to the public bus and she was very vague and stated she couldn't remember the street names of the intersection the bus stopped at but when I left the accommodation and asked an employee at some shop they readily explained where it was and it was indeed only two blocks away from the accommodation on a principle road in the town; I have a hard time believing that she didn't know the street name.

We had to keep asking for toilet paper. One skimpy roll at a time. They only cleaned room once when we asked them. Over a restaurant/Bar. Very loud and Noisy most of the night. No hot water. Not much sleep.

The owner was helpful and friendly

Cheap room in town. I stayed in the building across from the restaurant. For a night of two, good budget option. The AC worked well. The kitchen is across the street.

The staff were all excellent and helpful in every way possible. The location was great and about 3 blocks from the Zocalo and Mercado. The rooms at the Cielito Lindo were above their restaurant with a big screen TV that was pretty loud. Generally, the restaurant shut down at 9pm, which helped a lot but when there was a big event such as a big soccer game they stayed open longer til the game ended. Very understandable, but not good for sleeping. Also the one room accommodation was small and very basic. The one desk light didn't have a bulb in it and came with only two bath towels. There was no hot water - tepid at best - but that isn't too uncommon in lower priced accommodation in Oaxaca State at least.

The hotel location was terrific and clean. the restaurant was on the premises and was great value for your money food was very good. room was small no frills but very clean and comfy. would of liked a blanket but air conditioning worked well and the shower had only cold water but it was not bad. cold shower.

I guess the location was good. The mattress was the worst I have back pain all the time. And the room was too small. I couldn't fix the ac. There was no hot water the first day.

Good location.. better value for money than most other places we could find. Not a great welcome… our card was automatically charged when we booked via booking.com but we were very aggressively asked to pay again and had to prove via emails and my bank that we have paid.. the owner eventually called to confirm we had… we were checked in by a random member of the restaurant staff.. We were actually in a hotel over the road from the one we booked.. it was super noisy and although it was basically clean and comfortable it was not as it was described on booking.com. We were expecting kitchen facilities and there were non and they hotel seemed to be full of very load family/friends for the weekend! I would avoid!

Location & convenience Small room, poor amenities

noisy. staff came in to clean the adjacent dining room at 06:30 daily. no regard for sleeping guests. Manager brought family in for lunch daily during siesta time, his children were noisy as hell.

Very good for the price. The hot water wasn't working ans the staff offered an other room. Staff very gentle. Good place to stay
