Reasonably close to main attractions in the area- Chusonji Temple, Geibikei Gorge etc. Were able to provide a vegetarian kaiseki dinners which was a very nice surprise!

basic and nothing out of the ordinary type accommodations. The price is reflective of what I expected and made the choice to switch hotels. the rooms were dated and the hall ways were insulation was lacking so it the inside temperature was the same as the outside temperature.

We were hesitated before booking since the score is not so high . But we made the right choice. Even the decoration is not modern but all equipment are well maintained . Onsen is large clean and good quality amenity . Room are spacious with great view. Kaiseiki dinner and breakfasts are delicious with high quality raw material . Staff are polite and helpful . Recommend for all who want to slow down their pace for few days.

Gorgeous stay, one of my favourites so far. Lovely welcoming staff, explained everything and offered information booklets in English. Nice, spacious tatami room, pristine clean and with that aromatic tatami smell. The futon was comfortable and the pillow had a husk and a soft side. The facilities were amazing. Very spacious restaurant with delicious kaiseki offer and selection of local nihonchu. The large bath outside with the snow was very relaxing and a beautiful experience. The hotel shop was very well stocked with souvenirs but also drinks and snacks (great ice cream and mochi selection by the way). A very relaxing and easy stay, perfect to slow The large bath maybe needs a little attention. The lockers are functional but a bit rusty. And I would recommend someone check the facilities regularly as one of the customers had a "little accident" in the shower area and the smell really wasn't a good experience, but that's not the hotels fault, whoever done it should have called a member of staff.

The hotel is a fair distance from the train station, but the hotel does provide morning shuttles to the station and afternoon shuttles to the hotel. You do need to make prior arrangements for the shuttle. The public bath was clean and accessible, while the private toilet in our room was greatly appreciated. The food was delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed a performance from a local dance group. Tip: Be sure to visit the Visitor Center at the Ichinoseki Station. They provide train and bus timetables to help you plan your visit. We had a Japanese style room which is typically more spacious than western style rooms. The bottom layer of the futon bedding was a bit thin, making our sleep a little uncomfortable. Some other establishment provide an extra layer on the foundation for more comfort. Other than that, our room was clean, spacious and had a beautiful view of the countryside.

Situated close to Hiraizumi It was not clearly stated in the websites that there is no bath/shower in the room, so showers had to be taken in the onsen

Large range and excellent portion, love the breakfast. Dinner had many choices but booking.com does not reflect or show the various meal choices during booking.

The kaiseki dinner comprised dishes of high quality ingredients and service was good. Tatami room has little space for luggage.

The property had amenities near the front desk / lobby where you could make cotton candy or shaved ice after a hot summer day, it was very refreshing. Although the priestly was clean, simple, and comfortable the property was old.

Quiet location with onsen Quite nice view from the room I had an early start before 7 am. Breakfast only starts at 7.30 am, but they were not able to pack anything for me to go even though I already paid for breakfast in my room rate No so convenient without a car. They have a shuttle bus but again, the timing only starts after 9 am
