Excellent place and we received an upgrade. The place is so beautiful within the florets and a beautiful view!!! Extremely recommend! Not applied!! Every was perfect!

Beautiful sea view from the bungalow, relaxing. Very comfortable and big bed with mosquito net. Very nice and useful staff, always ready to help. We had a very pleasant boat trip to Praia de castellanos organized by the hotel with their own boat, really good value for money. Breakfast with excellent home made bread, fruits etc Bathroom was not very handy and light not so good . at night the bungalow missed a bit of lighting esp close to the table Limited storage space for 3 people spending the full week.

Reception manned only from 1000 to 2000. No restaurant

Very good

The view is the best part! But I loved everything about it.
-
Location, facilities, staff The breakfast - very small, not enough variety and for the price you are paying for the accommodation just way to little.

Beautiful location
-
Really close to the beach, but a little higher up than other nearby pousadas, so you get a really nice view! Nothing, it was great!

Plants and breakfast! Nothing!!!

Views, forest, most of the staff, beauty The higher bungalows- which offer outstanding views and ambient - are just too tiring to access . The stairs are so long you want to cry if you forgot something on the room . I would compromise a bit on the view and stay on a more reasonable accessed place - in the hotel or in other places

Really friendly team. Great breakfasts, very romantic bungalows. Definitely coming again.

Very beautiful place No complains

Excellent location that’s close to several beaches and restaurants, but given how high the rooms are it feels nice and secluded. We loved the view of forest and sea from our room, and enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. Anthony was super helpful and gave us lots of tips for things to do on the island, and he also organised our return to Salvador for us. The breakfast was very varied. Nothing.

The room and the view. We had been at Alysses before. It was perfect, Fran at the reception could not be better! But this time things were different, and I think because of the reception staff. They just seemed not to care for our requests and needs, answers were vague or just "well but you had a good day anyway.". Examples of what happened: I had warned, two or three times before our arrival, about food restrictions but first day at breakfast nobody in the kitchen knew about it; the handful and necessary umbrellas we had used in our previous stay (and it rained again) just dissapeared and they could careless, just said "yes, there used to be a lot."; no hair drier in the room (again, differently from last year) and one day to get one (which meant a rainy and cold night with wet hair and no answer to our request via whatsapp). It is a pity. Because it is a nice place with a wonderful view and rest of staff is excellent (most of them have been there for a long time) but not worth it anymore, as it is expensive however not giving the guests what they pay for and the support they need to be really comfortable .

The place is so close to the beach and the bedrooms are cool like small bungalows. There is the option of a good breakfast with fresh fruit and different other options every day. The location is complicated to be reached. For European standards the price is not worth, nothing special and some details need to be improved. Example only one hammock for a double bedroom. Also the bedrooms are nice but nothing impressive, considering the price.

The staff

The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. We were greeted at reception and then did not see hosts at the location. Our first night we did find a cleaning staff person who said they must both be at the beach. We had no recommendations where to get food. We would find our key just left on the desk when we came back. The reviews of the view was what sold me on this place, but my room would only see a hint of water. I wanted to talk with the front desk about another room, but we did not see or hear from them until the night before check out. We did ask cleaning staff about getting a sheet on my bed as it did not have one, the second night that was taken care of. I understand this is a remote island, but with two hosts, I would hope that one would have been available for help or directions. Luckily, my family is fluent in Portuguese, if not, this would have been a disaster.

wonderful views, great breakfast and friendly staff - Frederick was particularly helpful the bungalows are up a steep hill from reception but the views are good! there needs to be nets on the windows (especially bathrooms) for mosquitos and privacy. the hotel should also offer a suitcase carrying services from the hotel room to the taxi rank…. possibly even a private quad for guest transfers in to town / port

The garden small see view from the accommodation Each day you had to climb 500 metres of steep steps to reach the bungalow, so once you got down there you could only reach your room at the end of the day, the opposite of the comfort of being there
