Douglas and his team were fantastic! Douglas in particular was very efficient, discrete, yet warm. He was never far from the reception, and provided a lot of useful advice about things to do on the island (he was even better than my travel agency!). I’ve been to many pousadas in Brazil where the hosts are never around and just give you a WhatsApp number in case of emergency. This was the exact opposite of that. The pousada is right in the center of Velha Boipeba, and yet provides a very relaxing and quiet atmosphere. I stayed on the ground floor, close to the swimming pool and never heard any noise coming from the pool area. The WiFi was also very good.

There is a barbecue place just besides it and it can get super noisy in the front rooms. The manager didn't seem to care about that at all (he barely looked at us throughout the whole time we were there, even though he ate breakfast in the same room as the guests. Awkward...) Also the cleaning person once left the trash they took from the bathroom on a chair in the bedroom.
