Guwol Hotel

This hotel was grossly misrepresented on booking.com in the following ways: 1. It's indicated as a 3 star but is really a place that rents rooms by the hour. There are signs saying if you leave your room for more than an hour without telling the front desk they might rent your room to someone else. They also don't provide proper bath towels - they only provide hand towels. 2. The photos show clean and modern rooms, but in reality they are filthy and run down and the bidet controls were broken. 3. The photos and description depict saunas and a wellness spa, but that is not true. 4. Under the booking.com policies it says Children are welcome and allowed us to book as a family with children, but actually only adults should stay in this room - they have signs posted on the elevator indicating that under 18s are not allowed to stay there, but booking allowed it anyway. Only on closer inspection in some of the descriptions does it suggest adult only. Also, this was booked last minute and we were price gouged and paid at least double the regular price which was still way too much for this hotel.

Rooms weren’t available until 11:30pm. Bathroom smelled like sewage and had molds in the shower room Rude hotel restaurant staff serving breakfast.

Impossible to find. The address provided is incorrect and actually 20minutes away from the actual hotel. This was all while using Naver maps and Kakao maps too.

Nothing. This place should be advertised "For adults and couples ONLY". And " No foreign language understood", One day Inn and out". NO CLEANLINESS service. I requested housekeeping svc twice, trash removal, wipe down svc and linen chg. They DONT clean. I stayed for a week, no svc even on request Gross. Your additional foto request. Unnecessary.

The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good. The room was not clean. There was visible dust in many places. The bed wasn't clean either.

The sink moved. Bathtub had hair in it. Shower was dirty and improperly sealed so water got all over the floor. I didn't know how the A/C worked turns out it's on the tv remote.

I really enjoyed the bodyfriend massage chair, watching Netflix, and the huge jacuzzi bathtub. Considering I booked this room for 1 night, just as a relaxing mini-getaway for myself, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and might come back again, although making sure I book it cheaper. I also think the location is great. There are many cafes and restaurants, and even a park nearby. Also, it's easy to get to by bus. I paid ￦40,000 more to book this room on booking.com (instead of Naver, which was much cheaper) specifically because it had a 5 hour earlier check-in time . I even requested, after booking, to check in between 2-3 pm to make sure, and it was approved by the hotel. But when I arrived around 4 pm, due to other circumstances, I was made to wait to get into my room because it still wasn't ready. I feel like I wasted a big portion of money on this room for no reason and was very disappointed in this alone. Also, when finally getting into the room, I noticed the horrible smell of cigarette smoke. It was so bad it made my eyes burn and I had to open the window. I left it open the entire rest of the day, as well as kept the air purifier on Turbo mode to help with the awful smell and irritation it caused my eyes the first hour. On top of this, the electric kettle was never cleaned and actually had trash in it. So I had to manually clean it so I could use it.

Clean that's all, Hotel has best days long time ago. The location on the booking is totally different than real location after the call they send correct location that was like 1h walk away I got cold during that time Didn't get anything in return except sorry THE WRONG LOCATION IS STILL ON BOOKING.
