They had to move us to another room do to mold and smell

The building felt like a retirement home that hadn't seen renovations in 20+ years. The beds were on flimsy folding spring-frames, not bed frame. Dogs are allowed at this property and the beds would slide around quite a bit as my dog would hop from one bed to the other. I slept horribly both nights. There was a full-size fridge, small range, microwave, and TV in the room. The walls, floor, ceiling were sometimes stained. Staff was mostly helpful and friendly. Checkout is by 11 but the front desk doesn't even open until 9 or 10 so trying to get on the road early was awkward. Also, I think there was a pool listed in the amenities but there was not one on-site. You would think that cheap, crappy hotel would have a cheap, crappy price: but not at Extended Stay American Select Suites! Here, you'll get charged for premium while living in mediocrity! If you NEED a place to stay, then this will do. If you want something "nice", this isn't for you. It felt like poor quality and very overpriced. Said different, we got a 2 star room for a 4 star price. TLDR: why TF is lodging so insanely priced here!? $200/night is pricey everywhere else I've stayed but here it felt like section 8!

Not one thing. Smelled bad. Homeless out front. The dirty bed. Stains and hair. Sticky floor. The refrigerator smelled moldy.

First room needs maintenance on the appliances, Bathroom water did not get hot enough to take a shower, they have cockroaches, and could use a good cleaning.

No staff on site and alarm in lobby went off all night until staff arrived the next day. Could hear it chirping all night in room

Yes it was terrible it was dirty it had a smell there was food crumbs all over the floors floors where dirty my towels looked disgusting for 225 dollars I’m sickened to my stomach I’ll never be back

Good location near airport, Kroger across road, and Indy Speedway. Room had full size fridge and microwave. Dirty. My wife wanted to leave within 5 minutes of checkout. Screaming kids in room across hall entire 4 day/3 night stay. Property could not provide invoice at checkout showing $-0- amount due which I desparately needed for my expense reimbursement report. The entrance to hotel had people continuiously hovering around smoking.

Was relatively quiet on the 4th floor. The microwave was not cleaned prior to us arriving. There was food caked inside of it. Like A LOT. There was no TV remote and when I was looking for it I discovered an entire dresser drawer full of clothes that was left behind by a guest who stayed in the room before us.

I love that Barkefellers is next to a hotel where people try and rest after work. Great location. Katelyn the manager seemed as though she didn't like African American people. i was stranded in front of the hotel for 6hrs with my child and our bags after she told another resident (Caucasian) not to help me with a ride after we exchanged numbers. Alexis had a very nasty attitude coming from her room to give me plunger to unclog the toilet in my room until the maintenance showed up after the office opened. This is not a hotel for short stays or Black people they will let you know by treating you a certain a certain way.
