Hampton Inn & Suites Intercourse

the hotel itself was very nice. The hard part was that some friends were staying at the same hotel. we requested for our rooms to be close by. I called and was told that they put our rooms next door to each other. My friend, when they checked in, asked and was told we'd be 1-2 rooms apart. When I went to check in, just after 6pm, I was told the room wasn't ready yet (check-in was anytime after 4). After waiting for close to 15 minutes, which is a lot when I was traveling alone with 2 toddlers and it was dinner time. We finally got the key and was told we were on a different floor than my friends. I had also requested a pack n' play, which I was told they were waiting on. They were able to move me to the same floor as my friend, but we then had to wait a while longer. we requested to be close by because I was traveling alone with my kids and my friends were going to help out, plus we wanted to hang out for a litlte bit once the kids all went to sleep. If our rooms were nearby, we could sit in the hallway. Even with our rooms on the same floor, we were put on opposite ends of the hallway, which was less than helpful.

Great location, very clean, and helpful staff. While the air-conditioning in the room worked, the fan was not adjustable and it was also very noisy.

The breakfast. I was given erroneous info about a late check from the staff before the trip. Their error caused me to have to scurry to find other arrangements for my pet. This upended the entire trip and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Instead of making the accommodation for their mistake, the manager refused to budge (eventhough he said they'd never done that before-which meant it would have been one instance for making the exception). It was unprofessional and unacceptable as far as I was concerned. There were many choices for potential hotels in the area. I wish I'd chosen a different one.

I stayed 1 night. To go to Kitchen Kettle Village. This location is perfect and very close walking distance from the shopping area. Everything was great. I arrived early and at no extra charge I was allowed to check in early.

Whole place was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was just ok. Ran out of oatmeal almost every day. Egg choices were also cold.

The first floor of the hotel including our room was full of inch worm caterpillar type bugs. When reported to the front desk the very polite girl said yes they are all over the place. Why not offer us a room in another floor if you are aware this is a problem. The place was not full.
