Hotel La Villarosa

The staff were absolutely fabulous! The pool was wonderful. This is not a place where anyone who has trouble walking should stay. Not handicapped friendly.

Love the location on a quiet street yet walking distance to many attractions. The warm thermal water pool in the garden is a delight. The staff is Excellent!!! The lounges (there are many) are comfortable. You can find a quiet corner to be alone or join others in the bar area for some socializing. Many guests return year after year and I'm among them.

Staff are so friendly and a perfect location, a really clean very traditional Italian hotel Beds were a little hard and the room was very noisy from the restaurant. But it was a lovely hotel and I will definitely return

The moment you walk into the shady garden, you are transported into another world of escape and relaxation. This property is not new, but it is comfortable and relaxed. The thermal pool and surroundings are an oasis. Lunch by the pool, or in the rooftop restaurant. Perfect. There are quiet sitting areas, which are available to read, play games or chat with friends. The staff were amazing. They took time to inform guests, and were most helpful. This hotel located close to the main port, and transport, made it easy to find a restaurant or just wander the quaint streets and beaches. At the price point this hotel is a gem, but don't expect everything to be new. It is comfortable.

The WiFi is terrible, and the shower was the tiniest one I had ever seen. You need reservations for dinner even if you are a guest.

Amazing! Look nice! The roof top is awesome! Beautiful and well designed Location is great too. Breakfast was poor. Uncomfortable bad. Swimming pool didn’t work for half a day And when you enter you must wear their Swimming cap, any other not allowed. Water in the shower is not stable. It’s been very hot and very cold in a second without changing nothing. Wifi almost doesn’t exits!

The grounds are green and peaceful, and the location is excellent: in the pedestrian zone just off Via Colonna where everyone shops, hangs out at street side tables, and takes their passeggiata. The staff are absolutely amazing: warm, funny, endlessly helpful, and unfailingly courteous. A big shout out to my girls, MARINA and CRISTINA! Wonderful breakfast and the rooftop dining area has spectacular views of the Bay all the way to the mainland. The air conditioning was weak, but the evenings were cool so it was okay in the end …

location was central. staff were fantastic. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. Special mention to Marina; she is a perfect person to have at reception. The airport transfers and all of the tours booked through the hotel had to be paid for in cash which was a bit inconvenient but banks were near enough not to cause too much hassle.

Thermal pool and grounds are lovely. Great location in the centre. Walkable to beach and restaurants. Breakfast with a view. Walls so thin you can hear everything from rooms around. So noisy and hard to sleep - Snoring and night time activities awful.Dreaded going to bed. We had 2 rooms and it was the same for our kids so not just isolated to an unlucky room. Dated furniture. We had a toilet that had the cistern high up. Didn’t flush without a lot of work. I gave up and used one in our children’s room which had no issue.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The food was fantastic, with a great variety, and the gluten-free options were some of the best I've had – it’s clear they care about every guest’s experience. The location couldn’t be better, perfect for exploring nearby attractions. Highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning. The pool area is a bit dated, but nothing major.

Location was a 10 min walk from the ferry terminal (port). Close to the beach and all the shops in the Port area. The hotel was set amongst really cool jungly plants, and the thermal pool was amazing. We went in it even when it was raining because it was still warm. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. The staff at reception spoke good English. We chose half board and it was good value for money. We didn't eat at the hotel every night as the menu wasn't great for my vegetarian partner, although they would always have an option. Yummy antipasti buffet every night, then 3 courses, we were stuffed! Nice cheap bottle of local wine available (13 euro). Breakfast was decent. Hotel was originally a villa of a noble family from Naples, and much of the beautiful furniture still remains. It's like going back in time. There are lots of mosquitos so for the first night we were up at 3am squashing them in the room. We learnt not to have the window open after that! Cleaning in the morning was quite loud as the base was right outside our room, but it didn't start too early. I wouldn't recommend the Americano coffee at breakfast, I'd get an espresso with a side of hot water instead.

Beds were comfortable, we had two sets of pillows. Everything was clean and kept being cleaned during our stay. Room was spacious and aesthetically pleasing, as were communal spaces. Cocktails were good, food was good and staff were nice. Lovely green area around pool and hotel. Absolutely recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay for a reasonable price. 1.Room was very moist, which is understandable for the surroundings were a literal jungle, but there were a lot of mosquitoes -so we couldn’t keep windows open and so we couldn’t air dry clothes because of the constant moist. I would just suggest mosquito nets on windows and a ceiling fan. 2.Not being immediately said at the check-in or even prior on booking website that it is mandatory to wear a pool cap in the hotel pool, so the waiter runs after you in the pool and gives one to you all rather chaotically, and points at the small board on which it is said. Later I found a random stapled paper on the panel board with excursions promotions (?!) on which it says that cap costs 2,5€. I found that rather irritating- the way it is managed, because I could’ve brought my own or just took the shower cap from the room. I understand why it is mandatory and of course I don’t have a problem with that. I have a problem with something being mandatory without mentioning it and then having to pay for that without knowing. The waiter just asks you the room number, he doesn’t tell you it is being charged or how much, and caps are not rubber so they look a bit like a single use. I was unfortunately sick during my stay and had to drink a lot of tea, which meant a lot of money at the bar for a basic cheap tea bags. I would’ve been really happy if every room had a kettle for boiling water.Just basic necessity.
