Genius Hotel Istanbul

They upgraded my room for free! Room is clean and tidy. All the staffs are very nice and always willing to help. They have shuttle bus services to the airport which is,also very good point

We booked this hotel's Family Room for our family of four (two adults and two kids). This hotel has a great location. It's about two blocks away from the Sultanahmet Square, and in the other direction two blocks away from restaurants. We booked the Family Room which was spacious enough for us. The beds were good and not lumpy. It would work to the advantage of the hotel if they would improve on these two things: bathroom and breakfast. The shower area in the Family Room was a bit too tight. Breakfast consisted of bread slices, jam, cold cuts, boiled eggs, slices of cucumber and tomatoes, plated for each guest. This too could use some improvement.

The location is great. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. They also provided a baby crib for our son. Thank you very much!

The location and the staff were both exceptional. Topkapi is just around the corner and so are Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia. Restaurants are close by. Everything was great. Did run into some plumbing problems and the staff quickly responded and even changed our room immediately so that we did not experience any problems. The staff at this location is probably the best. Especially Bora and Nadir. Ali and Mehmet were also very helpful and the two cleaning ladies Feroza and Nargis kept everything great. We had planned to stay near Taksim on our return to Istanbul but instead booked Genius because it was such a great experience with them. They were even kind enough to look after our luggage while we were gone which allowed us to travel light to other cities. The wifi is moody but I feel wifi is a problem almost everywhere. For the price, the location we got was amazing and the service we got was out of this world. Eyvallah to the staff!!!! Bora you made our stay very comfortable. Thank you.

The price was very reasonable, the location was fantastic (near all the major sights, but on a side street so not too loud), with amazing service (and 24/7). Plenty of towels and toiletries (soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner) provided also helps. Not a negative by any means, but be aware that the hotel is narrow and tall, so if you have mobility issues, you may want to request a room on a lower floor. It may also be a hassle if you have heavy luggage.

This was an affordable place to stay in the heart of the tourist area. The nice thing is it was right there but far just far enough out of the way to be much quieter and private than many other hotels in the area. The staff were amazing. On booking.com it was listed as a 4 star hotel. In my opinion it was not a 4 star hotel. I think 3 would be a stretch.

I stayed at Genius Hotel in Istanbul, which is very close to the famous historical areas. The host, Ali, gave me a feeling as if I had known him for a long time. It’s a perfect hotel for exploring Istanbul. The airport buses are just 200 meters away. The rooms were very clean, and there are restaurants nearby. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. It was at great location and close to the famous spots in old town, including the blue mosque, Hagia Sophia and more. Plus the hotel is located at a relatively quiet street, so even it is close to the busy and popular spots, it remain quiet and relaxed whenever I come close to the hotel!

Wonderful staff. Super welcoming and accommodating during our stay. Batem (I think) was so friendly and helpful. The room could use attention. Lots of holes and cracks in the walls since it’s an old building. Dusty surfaces. Could use a duvet instead of the thin blankets The AC was very dusty and kept blowing out chunks of dust.

The room was spotless, sheets and beds were comfortable, staff, especially Feruza and Bora were super nice. People went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The store next door gave us discounts and we sampled a ton of Turkish delight before we bought some. We were happy with our choice of a hotel. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is on a budget and wants to stay close to the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia.

Location is excellent. 3-4 min walk to Topakapi Palace, 6-7 min walk to Haga Sophia, 10 min to Blue Mosque, same time to sultanahmet tram station WiFi is weak

One can easily see that some infrastructure can be renovated but the room was generally comfortable and clean.

Amazing. Location is more than perfect, 1 min from Topkapı palace, 2 from haga sophia, 5 from blue mosquee. Reception is nice and helpful, kudos to Bora! He was very helpful and gave good tips!

Everything was great! Location is the best you can have. Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Basilica Cistern, Sultanahmet, Gulhane park, tram station are just 5 minutes walk. A lot of nice restaurants nearby, also Arasta bazaar. Hotel was great, has everything for your stay. Breakfast was really delicious. Parking available on street, costs 13euro. The staff at reception is outstanding, always willing to help and support for whatever you need! Thank you for everything! We will definitely come back! Nothing, everything was great!
