Truly an amazing spot in Kadikoy in a lovely old wooden house. Clean and convenient shared kitchen. Beautiful little window seat. In the best area of town close to restaurants and walkable to the center but on a quiet street. Emre checked in often and gave us great recommendations. 10/10!

Above all, the owners are very friendly and communication was excellent, quick to respond to questions and proactive to requests or needs. Convenient location (metro line to SAW airport, Hava airport bus to IST, ferry piers, Söğütlüçeşme station for trains across Türkiye), near great restaurants and cafes. Small but super clean, well equipped and very functional kitchen and sitting area. The room that I had was small (2 single beds in bunk format) but also very clean and functional, with two large windows to allow light and air. The owners are well travelled and know what travellers want and need. Small details in the room were much appreciated: task lighting and charging station near the bed, a rack with hangars for clothes, a table and chairs, storage cabinet. The shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Having access to a washing machine and drying rack that could be used in the room was a real bonus after weeks of travel.

Tila's is absolutely the place to stay in Kadikoy. The hosts are an incredibly kind and welcoming couple who made us feel at home and taken care of for the duration of our stay. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and provisioned with all the little details that make a space cozy. The location is great — very close to both the port and many good restaurants, cafes, and cute vintage shops. I will absolutely run, not walk, back to Tila's on my next trip to Istanbul. Do yourself a favor and stay here!! Not a single thing

Delivers as always. Best location, very nice owners, home feeling... Please replace the bunk bed with a new one. It creaks a lot now, it even wakes your friend up when you roll in the bed during the night. It is a little disappointing that the owners did not replace it the last time I informed them. So I expect the replacement to happen until my next stay :) Thank you.

Tilas house is a hidden gem and a fantastic value. It felt more like a nice AirBNB than a hostel, but is priced like a hostel. The building has been recently renovated to a very high standard, and everything from the bed to the bathroom fixtures to the decor felt new and high quality. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk from the ferry and bus terminal, and one block from the main street with abundant cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The hosts, Emre and his wife Tugba, were very helpful and accommodated my awkward arrival and departure schedule. Honestly, no complaints. After staying in many other hostels, I was surprised by how nice this experience was.

Emre and Tubah are extremely helpful and easy to get ahold of. Rooms and common area are extremely clean. Kitchen is well stocked. Well connected to the subway and ferry system and close to Moda.

Delightful and helpful hosts, comfortable accommodations including updated bathroom; fun neighborhood…quiet yet there is plenty of activity within walking distance. Also, shared kitchen on main floor was convenient for breakfast making. All was great, however, I had an injured knee and had booked the top floor suite months prior to my injury. I found the 45 stairs to my room less than ideal for my situation. Next visit, I may consider a room on the 1st or 2nd floors.?

We loved our attentive “host” Emre who checked in daily to see if we needed any assistance or suggestions. He was a great resource for things to try. They also have a list of recommended restaurants and cafes on google maps. We stayed in the 3rd floor “suite” with a double bed and a single bed, connected by a “hall” with a couch. The room has 2 small balconies. It was beautifully decorated. The main floor has a small, well-equipped kitchen with 3 ways to make coffee, as well as a fridge and stove. And, there’s a washing machine! Very welcome after travelling for 3 weeks. It was a lovely calm oasis to come back to after touring all day. We chose Kadikoy as repeat visitors to Istanbul and loved the neighbourhood, local feel. Would stay again. Not a problem for us, but there are 3 flights of stairs to the top floor. All rooms require climbing stairs.

Super cute room! I am in love with the windows. I thought as an older house, there might be weaker AC/water pressure/other things, but it was all actually wonderful! The AC was strong, showers seemed newly renovated with good water pressure and no issues with hot/cold water. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet (except my partner's snoring). Location was walkable to everything including to the waterfront for a beautiful sunset. Friendly hosts who are responsive in their communications. Shared fridge in the kitchen downstairs. Note that you will have to climb stairs with your luggage - not an issue for us, but if you need an elevator this is not the place for you.

We had such a wonderful stay and the Emre and the house are amazing. Nothing at all.

The location and cleanliness were all very good. Especially, the communication of the business owners was excellent.I will definitely stay here on every trip to Istanbul.

We stayed in the big room with a little balcony, absolutely charming. Emre the owner was super nice and helpful in every way, he gave us marvelous tips to make our trip amazing. The shared kitchen is perfect for people that want to cook. We were welcomed with delicious Turkish coffee. We loved the neighborhood! Calm, with the most amazing bakeries! Would definitely come back We loved everything!

Amazing location, super friendly host Emre who made us feel like he was welcoming us into his own private home, welcome baklava and super cozy vibe in the rooms with the bay windows. Super cute and modern interiors. Super quiet at night in the neighborhood (except for some exceptional noises) Some exceptional noises happened, like the early morning drums for Ramadan and sound of voices through the walls. No fault of the owner, it's a very old building and he made it clear when we arrived. Slept with earplugs the next night and all good.

Cozy property with small family atmosphere, communal area, and generous host. Great location convenient to shopping, public transport, dining.

Loved everything

I like that you feel like home in Tilas house. Hosts are always welcome and will help you with anything. Comfy, beautiful room, kitchen and laundry- everything you need. Plus! Quiet neighbourhood and lovely surroundings. The only thing that you have to accept— audibility in the building. But it’s understandable for historical buildings.

A great find in Kadikoy! Definitely recommend staying on the Asian side and if you do, stay here! Emre was a super host always checking in and being very helpful with suggestions on what to visit in the area. And gave us a great tip on where to get haircuts! The common area had a great kitchen with all the necessary gadgets (electronic Turkish coffeemaker, anyone?) and a washing machine. The suite on top was lovely. Just be prepared for the 44 stairs to the top - worth every step! Bathroom was small but well appointed. a few extra bed pillows would be good.
