Dear Booking.com Customer Service Team, I am writing to submit an urgent and formal complaint regarding my booking at Adamantides Hotel, located in Taksim – Istanbul. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and completely inconsistent with the description and photos displayed on your platform. From the moment I arrived, I was shocked by the very poor condition of the hotel entrance and reception area, which were totally unacceptable and did not reflect a hotel listed on Booking.com. I have attached real photos taken upon arrival, clearly showing the actual condition of the entrance and reception, which is completely different from what was advertised. Overall, the property: • Does not meet even the minimum acceptable standards • Does not provide a sense of safety or comfort • Is not suitable at all for accommodation, especially for couples or families Because of this situation, it was absolutely impossible for me and my wife to stay at this hotel. As a result, I was forced to immediately search for another hotel to stay the same night and pay a significantly high and unexpected amount of money, due to the limited availability and the late hour. This situation caused me financial loss, stress, and major inconvenience, and negatively affected my trip. What I experienced can only be described as misleading advertising, as the reality of the hotel is completely different from what is shown on Booking.com. Therefore, I kindly request that you: • Open an urgent investigation regarding this property • Review its compliance with Booking.com quality standards • Provide compensation or a refund for the financial loss I incurred due to being unable to stay and having to book an alternative hotel I have always trusted Booking.com as a reliable global platform, and I sincerely hope this issue will be handled seriously and promptly. I look forward to your response. Kind regards, Ahmed Talaat

Great location and beautiful building. It’s very busy neighborhood so when that’s in mind the stay can become much fun! Sweet and hospitable staff.

We stayed at Adamantides Hotel in Istanbul and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is small and a bit outdated, but it’s clean and conveniently located near Taksim Square, which makes it easy to explore the city. We arrived at night and took the Havaist bus to Taksim — a much more economical option than a taxi, especially since the metro wasn’t running at that hour. Our room was clean and equipped with two double beds that provided good sleep quality. Despite the busy nightlife in the Taksim area, the hotel offered a surprisingly quiet and peaceful environment. Breakfast was good and satisfying, and the staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The only small downside was that the night reception staff didn’t speak English, which caused a bit of confusion at check-in. They used an electronic translator, which wasn’t always effective, but we managed.

The location is great, rooms are quite comfortable and spacious , they cleaned our room whenever we asked, they also let us for an early check-in. Staff is nice and friendly. Good value for money Breakfast was the same everyday. We stayed there for 4 nights , we skipped the breakfast after day 2 because it got so boring and repetitive.

The beds were clean and comfortable. The staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel was very good value for money. Nice hot shower available. Room had a TV although channels were in Turkish. Kettle provided in the room and there was a balcony. Plenty of food places very close to the hotel and 3 SOKS (mini supermarkets) almost on hotel doorstep. Istiklal Street (posh High Street) just 5 minute walk away and Taksim Square is also close by. Room starting to get bit dated so some minor repairs needed. Toilet flush was temperamental, one of the wardrobe doors was hanging as a hinge was broken and bedside lamp was loose. Breakfast was okay but quite simple with not that much variety. Moonlight Club next to hotel so can be a bit noisy at night depending on which side of hotel you are.

Perfect accessibility for disabled

The hotel has,a great location, few meters away from Istiklel street, few meters away from the bus station, and also close to all commodities. The room I took is the deluxe one, it's spacy, simple nd nicely decorated. The staff are my favorite part, very helpful and kind, always offering help and sometimes beyond their work. One thing to note i that due to the location in the middle of everywhere ( bars, clubs, shops, streets), the weekend nights are noisy and the music can be loud until late hours.
