Red Roof Inn & Suites Jacksonville, NC

The first room that we were in, the bathroom door would not close because of rust and black mold on the door hinges. The staff was accommodating and quickly reassigned us to a different room. This room’s door was slightly swollen with water stains on the base of the door which made it difficult to close the door, but we managed. The indoor pool was the main reason that I booked at this hotel and it was closed due to pump failure. I asked the front desk to call a hotel that had a pool in your network and they accommodated us, again the staff was very helpful. The only portion of the breakfast that my family enjoyed eating were the waffles and the waffle iron was out of order are second day there. The lobby restrooms were out of order. The “workout room” only had stationary bike with broken handle bars, an elliptical and treadmill—no free weights. Again, the staff was very friendly and helpful but the hotel accommodations were “out of order” and substandard.

Check in went great. Rooms definitely need some TLC. Hottub and Pool were unavailable to use. We were not happy about that.

Horrible and unhelpful staff... plenty of other locations to choose from in Jacksonville ever again

I grabbed this hotel for the reasonable prices. I regret it so much. I will never stay at another Red Roof Inn. Staying in a room on the upper level is awful. We are in our 70’s and had trouble manuvering the step stairs. We had to haul out luggage up and down the stairs and manage them every time we left and entered the facility. The breakfast area was constantly dirty or had empty containers at breakfast hours. We planned on a 10 night stay. In town watching our granddaughter graduate. We left 2 days early

I really enjoyed my overnight at Red Roof in Jacksonville. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. a very good breakfast. I especially appreciated the staff. They were very helpful and kind.

I liked the indoor swimming pool pool but it was a bit cloudy and the hot tube that was very clean. I just don’t understand why they never left wash cloths when they replenished our towels. I liked the bed toppers that looked modern and clean and also under comforter when it got too cool. Breakfast was nice and a very good price for three nights.

Furniture was in bad shape. My kid saw a bug run behind the dresser. Hair in the tub. The pool was cloudy with a hairy film on top we would not go in it. Breakfast was ok, bed was nice.

We had a very good stay. Loved the indoor pool. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. We had no problem with the WIFI. One of the best systems we've encountered. We are seniors and the bed seemed hard. We were really stiff in the morning and both of us had pain in our shoulders. The microwave was broken. It would heat but the inside table was broken.

We stayed here before and had no issues, which is why we booked again…however, this time our room had roaches and we were so exhausted we did not notice it until we woke to shower. Yikes…they scurried and I had to beat a path to the door. Probably will not go back now.

Breakfast was good and the property was convenient as we are in town for a family wedding. We did not use the pool or any other amenities so I can’t speak on that.

Room was great. Housekeeping kept us stocked with toilet paper and fresh towels daily. The staff were all friendly and we would stay here again if back in the area.

Nice place, nice staff but super hard uncomfortable beds

Hotel incredibly crusty and intensely humid inside moisture seemed out of control and carpets smell really bad, the kind that cleaning can’t help just needs replacement The pool was absolutely gross and slimey needs drained and cleaned

The breakfast was good, great location. Very nice staff helpful too The wifi wasn’t too good. The floor had mold by the ac unit which was a bit uncomfortable.

The desk clerk was not very professional. Not very friendly. Not a good experience.
