Grand Ametis Hotel Jakarta

We like the location; it is near Jiexpo (concert venue). An eatery is also nearby. Alfamart and Indomaret are just around the corner. The best part is that the train station is just a 5-minute walk from this hotel. This is our main transportation during our stay. the staff is very attentive and helpful. This hotel has a rooftop restaurant and bar, which is a plus point. the view is spectacular. we stay here for 6 days, and breakfast is included. Everything is fine, but every day they serve egg (fried egg, sambal egg, egg sweet sour, etc), only got chicken on the last day we were here, and we are so excited. it's good to vary the menu, especially when you stay here long. owh, and they do not provide iron.

The room was very cosy and came equipped with everything that we needed. It is also located very near to the train station- meaning that visiting the old town & Jakarta city central was easily done. The staff were always extremely friendly and never missed saying hello. Especially the male receptionist- who provided great service on multiple occasions. The bathroom smelt of mould and the breakfast buffet was quite dry.

The room was just okay. The first room we were offered smelled like cigarettes badly, I wouldn’t be able to spend a whole night in the room. Luckily we asked to change rooms and the second one didn’t have the same smell. It could be cleaner - pillowcases and bedsheets looked stained.

The staff, the cleanliness and the food

Water refill in the hallway, kettle in the room with complimentary tea and coffee, nice room view, comfortable bed and nice overall vibe of the room. Breakfast was nothing special, some classic indonesian dishes (that are more like lunch / dinner type of dish for Europeans) there was also toast, jam, hazelnut and peanut spread. Free water and instant coffee and tea. But you do have breakfast at tje rooftop bar which has a nice view. Some people at the reception speak poor English, so you just have to be lucky to get a lady that speaks good English or simply use google translate. We absolutely hated loud EDM music for breakfast. Way too loud and way to rough for morning. And we generally like this type of music, but not in the morning for breakfast. :D skip breakfast and you will have a better over all experience.

need better training New 6 floor hotel with open concept roof top simple restaurant near Mangga Dua in town. Nice and helpful f&b Manager House keeping not refill hand soap, room floor is not mopped, simple one dish Indo breakfast. We checked in ard 2 am and got a small room without window that smells kretek cigarette from the alley (?)
