The Hermitage, A Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta

We loved every bit of this lovely property. We were treated like royalty ❣️. Everyone was so helpful and polite & kind. The breakfasts were amazing. The rooms so clean and quiet and lovely. The showers so hot❣️. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Jakarta ?

Room design very calming

The historic property is wonderful to stay in: a unique opportunity to experience a bygone era. I loved my room with the bedroom/ sitting room combined. It also had a patio, which I did not use due to the heat. The photograph collection in the hotel is very interesting. The location of the hotel is good with international cafes, restaurants near. My favorite part was the rooftop bar area. It was wonderful having dinner up there and looking at the lights of Jakarta. It made for a memorable evening. Service is excellent throughout. I found the breakfast buffet ordinary and expensive for what it was.

Excellent staff, elegant and historic Nothing

Neat, clean, colonial theme. If you looking for classic Indonesia theme, this will be a perfect choice. They serve dinner also for free. Love it. Try the breakfast, they have both buffet and a la carte. It is really nice. I don't know if is it possible to serve pork bacon on breakfast? If yes, then I really missed it.

The breakfast had sufficient variety, and more, ala carte menu was included. The room was very comfortable, with a separate living room with a TV. That helped us to watch separate TV programs. The pool is not my thing. When I am traveling for sigh seeing a country, I don't want to waste time lounging around a pool or beach. We are from Miami; we have our own best beaches. The hotel concierge service was very disappointing. They had no idea what their city had to offer. We had a list of places to see and visit. Any question related to those had a blank answer. It felt like they were also uninformed tourists, even about the surrounding restaurants. We selected a restaurant for dinner from Google. It was just around the corner at walking distance. I asked which way to start. They were clueless,

This is a brilliant hotel - I doubt there could be a better place to stay in Jakarta than here. We loved everything about this hotel - the room we had was a suite - and so comfortable! The restaurant and food were excellent. The facilities including the pool and roof top bar are amazing. The staff were fantastic. Nothing - this hotel is an 11 out of 10.

It’s very clean well cared for excellent quality Key cards were slowly in responding. I’m used for them to be more responsive

Everything was just perfect!

Quiet room despite downtown location. Staff very hepful. Excellent restaurants within walking distance. Hotel food was ok but overcooked and overpriced.

The room is overall clean and tidy. The building has history and it feels like you entered the 19th century. The bed is comfortable. Breakfast has ala carte and buffet options. They labeled themselves as 5 stars hotel. However I don’t feel like it’s 5 stars hotel. Super disappointed. The rooms are not soundproof. So you can hear everything from outside. Many times I woke up because of the noises. I could hear the cleaners were cleaning the room next to me at 9AM with noisy vacuum cleaner and moving all the furnitures. The pool is so disappointing. So small and there’s no space for sun bathing or just simply laying by the pool. We ordered beers from the rooftop bar and they served warm beer without foam and it was very expensive and bad quality.

Beautiful hotel and the breakfast was such a great introduction to Indonesian food! Beautiful room, and the interior design in the hotel was generally beautiful and tasteful. Rooftop pool and bar were also great. Everything amazing!

The Hermitage is a colonial style hotel, and I like colonial style hotels, so I was very happy there. Beware that there is a lot of security when you come into the hotel grounds. Breakfast includes both a menu item of your choice plus a buffet. The staff are very friendly. It would be nice if they had a larger space in which to serve breakfast, although I never had to wait.

The design is very good, room is cool even with aircon off, very good breakfast with lots of choices and delicious taste. Club lounge is nice too. Everything was great.
