The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan

The facilities, breakfast, club lounge access, and overall service level were outstanding and met the high standards expected from Ritz-Carlton. Overall, the hotel has many excellent qualities, but these details affected my experience and did not fully match the standards I associate with Ritz-Carlton. However, there were a few experiences that disappointed me during my stay. First, I ordered room service and was surprised to find cartilage in almost every piece of chicken in my Caesar salad. I believe this is unacceptable for a luxury hotel, where food quality and attention to detail should be a priority. Second, I had an uncomfortable experience when entering the hotel. A few guests in front of me were allowed to enter without going through the X-ray/security check, so I assumed the same applied to me. However, when I approached the entrance, the staff member blocked my way. When I asked if I could enter, she continued smiling but did not provide a clear explanation. After I pointed out that other guests had been allowed through, the response was simply “just no.” The way the situation was handled felt dismissive and disrespectful. It left me feeling uncomfortable and wondering whether guests were being treated differently based on personal factors rather than consistent hotel procedures. I hope the hotel reviews this incident and provides clearer guidance to staff on how to communicate with guests. A few smaller points: the mattress felt like it sagged slightly in the middle, and the TV was outdated and not a smart TV, which was surprising for a property of this level.

Room comfort and breakfast

It was a classic and thoughtful place. There was great service and very friendly service. The property was well maintained and had great facilities. There was not anything specific I did not like.

They couldn't provide a bawl of raw oats, when they did have cooked oats

Both room and breakfast were good. The spread of breakfast was good. So far nothing I didn't like during my stay

Every single member of the staff provided world class service. All were warm, professional and extremely competent.

the room was really big 65 sq meters I think I remember, it was spacious. super classy and minimalist. the doors were solid, and could not hear a neigbor. room was excellent. The bed was quality, softer than I like, but I could feel it was a very quality bed.

Nice room, very spacious and clean. Well located facility. Needs some updated, lots of old or outdated fixtures. Shockingly, the breakfast was very disappointing.

Everything was beautiful and amazing. I would go there for million times again and again. Nothing at all. The only thing was the late check in.

The room was very spacious and clean. The included breakfast was a wonderful buffet. The location was not very walkable, to restaurants or shops. There are other similar hotels in the same star rating that have better locations.

The rooms was fantastic and very big which you feel that you are in a suite. The view if my room was not good as It was in a lower floor as I booked the room at the last moment.

Very well run hotel! It's true 5 stars but it's getting older I wish the management replace the old bidets and with more electronically modern unit, the carpet is very old with non functioning padding. The hotel cancelled my reservation on the evening of arrival when already on my way there. Apparently an issue with them unable to charge certain cards on reservations from Booking and then they cancel them after 6pm. I still went and they could at least reinstate it after some effort.
