Lamandau House

Great location in a vibrant neighborhood of South Jakarta. Close to parks, street life, and restaurants / coffee shops. Unlike big corporate hotels where you feel disconnected from the life of the city, this one helps you to feel more integrated as a traveler. The only unfortunate thing is that there’s quite a lot of noise from the street, and noise from other guests/rooms can also be disruptive.

We stayed at Lamandau House from 16–22 June for my partner's birthday and booked the Junior Suite with Balcony on the second floor. We chose Lamandau House because it was away from the busy Blok M streets, yet close enough to walk (10–15 minutes) to Blok M Plaza and the surrounding food scene without dealing with Jakarta's traffic. Right beside the property is Ayodya Park, which comes alive every evening with families, friends and plenty of roadside stalls selling local favourites. GrabCars and GrabMart were also very convenient. The room was exactly as pictured—clean, spacious and perfect for a longer stay. The separate living area with a work desk, sofa bed and storage made it comfortable. The bedroom was cosy with softer pillows, while the bathroom was spacious with excellent water pressure. A mini fridge, kettle, toiletries and complimentary hot/cold water dispenser were all provided. The only small downsides were limited luggage space and a noticeable mothball smell in the bathroom, though we'd much rather that than unpleasant drainage odours. A lovely surprise was the friendly neighbourhood cat that occasionally visited our balcony for a nap. It definitely made our stay even more memorable. The staff were exceptional. Despite a slight delay during check-in, everyone was warm, attentive and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. They helped carry our luggage upstairs and even assisted with our 5am checkout without hesitation. If you're a light sleeper, note that rooms facing the park may be noisier at night, while Sunday mornings around 6am can be lively due to park exercise activities with music and announcements. Overall, Lamandau House offers fantastic hospitality, a comfortable stay and an excellent location. We'd gladly stay here again on our next trip to Jakarta. The hotel is so aesthetically pleasing and the staff were very sweet, friendly and very accommodating. My room was very comfortable and pretty. I highly recommend this hotel for comfort, service, affordability and location. Will stay here again if I decide to come back in the future. Nothing. Everything was good and I didn't have a bad experience here.

Clean, good size, smell nice .

The location is great! The park nearby is amazing and thriving on Saturday night. Staff were marvelous and helpful. We left our bags for the day after checkout which made things super easy. Clean and big rooms with comfy bed. Only small thing was that the main shower head wasn’t working so well. It was spraying water up into the lights at the connection point. We just used the handheld shower which was fine. The shower also didn’t drain super well. I think it just needed some maintenance is all, no big deal.

Convenient location. Close to many trendy cafe spots. The place is cute but has so much potential if it was maintained better. The bathroom had very poor ventilation and smelled slightly unpleasant. There was also mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. If you are a light sleeper, this location will not be for you as there are street vendors that open til late and there are people that may be playing music, hanging out etc.

It feels like I was staying at an upgraded grandma's house. The location is very accessible to cafes and restaurants around. Homey & comfortable. Nothing.

Lamandau House is a beautiful place to stay. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The soundproofing is bad.

Location is best:) Can be noisy at night, might be a bother to some, but not to me:0 Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Express laundry service is a few meters away.

The tv channel , needs improvement ie internet connection. Even the local channel wasn't available.

big room, nice location wifi not really good

Great Hospitality + Staff. They really make you feel at home. The Location is also superb, close to the business district and it has a great cate eatery on site. Nothing. Everything was great!

Location is super, right in the middle of the old town.. staff responsive and very kind and quick to address issues if there are any. Hotel ( design) seems geared towards (young) children. Breakfast simple and basic. Not a warm, inviting environment to have a coffee or drink, although they serve both in the lobby

I like the ambience of the hotel. This is my first time staying in a place like this. And it was a pleasant stay for me. I would come back when I have the chance. There’s mosquitoes in the room.

The no reception and security guard concept makes it tricky to request any further assistsnce.

Wonderful!

It is a super cute small hotel. I love the aesthetic very much. Well designed with the beautiful color scheme and accent furniture pieces. You can tell they really care about the property and the hospitality service. The location is perfect. It’s very close from the local street food spots and nice cafes and restaurants. Everything was great but the internet was a bit slow.
