The room (bathroom) was pretty dirty and did not have any soap or shampoo in the dispensers. More disappointing was the fact that almost all activities were closed- and only 2 restaurants were open. The website advertises summer festivals, music, lots of activities but in reality most places were closed. Restaurants are seasonal and one of the two that were actually open (grilled clubhouse) offered a very different menu than posted on the website. I think it’s a shame the resort does not mention the seasonal closures etc. Had we known we would not have gone . Quite a let down for a family visiting with kids that want to see everything. Even the tram non operational due to closures and a slow season.

Everything is really expensive and the quality is low.

The only thing I didn’t know it’s the restaurant of the hotel on the week is closed. By chance we have a little grocery close to it so we could buy some food and make our own food in the hotel room. Also, they had a pizzeria open which the pizza was super good. I didn’t get a chance to try it, but the golf club looks really nice.

Hotel Jay at Jay Peak is very nice and the room we had was spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. We requested a cot because our son and daughter wanted their own beds (the room had a queen and a full-size Murphy bed) but the request was denied because of occupancy rules according to the front desk. We weren’t adding more guests to the room so this was off-putting, but the staff was very helpful other than that. The water park was a blast although they did run out of tubes which I heard a few guests complaining about. There were a lot of amenities and/or places to eat that were either closed completely or closed at 6pm, which was way too early for us. The coffee shop being closed every day was a little crazy, but I’m guessing they have less staff in the Summer. Overall I’d say it’s probably a great place during ski season, but not worth a 5 hour drive in the Summer.

Okay - value for the money, other staff members. Been elsewhere where these things were better. Unacceptable - charging a resort fee on top of room fee, then charging above average ticket price for the water park. Also, outdoor pool was advertised as being free with room stay we were not allowed access without paying for water park access, staff member claimed she 'did not know how to open the locked gates' that should have allowed us access to the outdoor pool using our room key card. Not likely to return as a result of these hidden junk fees.

We had to clean the room ourselves cause there was dirt on the floors, dead bugs and smelled like cigarettes even though it was as a no smoking room, We had to rewash the bedding and pillow covers cause the covers looked brown and nasty. The bedroom has no tv just a mirror so high up you can’t even look in it in the placement a tv should be. The bed was two twins put together so me and my wife couldn’t even cuddle for our anniversary stay because we would fall between the crack of where the twin mattress met, the way button drawer of the stove is FILTHY I decided I would not use the stove at all because of the filth. Outside the front door there are shards of clear glass, so imagine your child running around bare foot. Oh by the way I got stuck on the deck for 25 minutes as my wife showered because even though I had 5 keycards, none worked to scan me back in, so imagine you are sleeping and your child sneaks on the deck and can’t get in! Not safe. We had to ask for another key in the Jaypeak hotel because the keys provided by stateside wouldn’t even scan to get into the pool and hot tub area! The pizza place gave us food poisoning we were stuck on the toilet most of our stay, the jaypeak lifeguards were more worried about visiting rather then scanning the outdoor pool. The only thing we actually got to enjoy during our stay was the fireplace and the provisions restaurant, their customer service was top notch and the shuttle was great, 2/10 outdated dirty and unsafe.

We decided to check out the next morning and get a refund for the day we would not use and George at the front desk, who is kind of rude, told us the Park was open and refused to refund the extra day. Not good.

If you want access to the water park, it’s extra and you have to drive to the Jay hotel on property where the water park is located. If you are staying for any length of time be prepared to eat at the one restaurant in the hotel, or drive to the Jay and eat at one of the restaurants there. There is nothing local, be prepared to drive a distance for restaurants or stock up on supplies, unless the general store on property doesn’t have what you need,

The amenities that were open were good. Unfortunately it was not made clear when i booked that many of the bars, restaurants, and activities closed for the season. Rock climbing was closed, ice skating was closed, the tram was closed for weather. We ended up at the water park though and that was really nice. Overall i would stay again.

Not realizing the waterpark wasnt part of the Expedia package I went ahead and called the resort and purchased $300 in waterpark tickets. On 16 April we arrived and checked in at 5:30pm, I asked the front desk where I pick up the passes and they said upstairs and we got up there to find out it closed at 6pm while the website said 8pm. To make matters worse, we discovered that the restaurants and provisions store of the property also closed around the same time. Thankfully, we found a restaurant 5-10 min away, we explained to the waitress what had happened and she informed us her child was supposed to go the next week until they discovered the waterpark would be closed for the week because of spring break. I just got off the phone with costumer service only for them to tell me that there was nothing they could do, I purchased waterpark tickets for Thursday & Friday and they were telling me they wouldnt refund me for something I used, which was one days worth not two. I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone especially if you have small children, there is absolutely nothing for miles. Lastly, we went to find an exra pillow only to find it blood and yellow staining on it, I reported it only to be told it was probably rust from a pipe.
