The breakfast is a bit poor

The bathroom was amazing, far larger and better than most Israeli hotel bathrooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I did not realize when booking that it was not kosher.

Location, staff Nothing

The room wasn’t clean as it was supposed to be I expected to have some vip service in a vip room but nothing barely sugar and 1 coffee capsule and 1 spoon and above all that they charged 500 shekels for a late check out because of shabbat . When I reserved the vip i expected way more than this .

GREAT LOCATION WONDERFUL CLEAN ROOM STAFF IS VERY HELPFUL

All were great. There is no good noise insulation - we had noise into the night from a nearby bar. There is no comfortable lobby that you can use, only a minimal entrance with 2 chairs.

Quiet and clean

Very pleasant staff. Beautiful magnificent historic building from the end of 19th century. I love the history of this hotel which is named in honor of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich, brother of the Russian Tsar. Has a very aristocratic atmosphere with tall towers. Premises were very clean. Room with high ceilings. I upgraded to a room with a soaking tub - definitely do that if available. The garden was well-kept with a lovely fountain which created a very quiet peaceful oasis. Abundant olive, oak, cypress & various flowering trees and shrubs transported you to a bygone era in Europe. A wonderful property. Parking available inside property. Great location. Walk to Old City, downtown shops & restaurants on Jaffa St. Beautiful Holy Trinity Cathedral, Russian Orthodox Church, built in 1872 that is a gem in the Russian Compound within a short walk. The area is a best kept secret on Jerusalem. Would've loved to see the museum but requires advance notice since there were very few tourists. The breakfast was sufficient but basic. Would've been nice with artisanal breads, croissants and more protein options. Expected a more upscale breakfast that befits the hotel's grandeur. But probably because it was lacking tourists, kitchen offered minimal options. Can't wait for tourists to return. It's was still a lovely atmosphere to enjoy breakfast in the garden.

Great location, the staff was friendly, clean, very comfortable bed, definitely will come back! In description it’s written that there is a parking lot, but it wasn’t a place for us to..

The room is very basic. The tub was very uncomfortable. There was a window right in front of it with no curtain and the next building was there so it felt very exposed.

Great location. Near Jaffa st., near Mamilla mall, easy access by train. The room and the hotel are antique but in an interesting way. The staff is friendly. Awful breakfast. Absolutely incompatible with a four stars hotel. The gardens are beautiful, and I don't mind the cats at all, but the pee smell was bad. The hotel has everything to be a unique place in Jerusalem, due to its old history and different style, but it definitely has A LOT to improve in order to be compatible with a 4 stars hotel. The cleaning, the furniture in the room, the bathroom, the corridors, everything there needs improvement and maintenance.

It had a lot of character and history . It was very relaxing and peaceful. Tea and coffee making could have been a little better. Maybe to upgrade the shower to a rain shower.

The Breakfast was poor

Beautiful garden, a clean and big room, very clean and renovated shower, strong AC for heating, quiet and peaceful. Nothing.

Great location and property
-
According to the site the hotel includes parking, but in reality it includes only 4 parking spots. This is very misleading.

Great location in the center of city. Breakfast was good but the coffee machine kept breaking down. Beautiful and quiet inner garden. Many sorts of eating places walking distance from the hotel. free parking but limited places. Hard pillows, No proper light for makeup. no elevator. Not enough electric outlets and those present were in odd places.

Sergei Palace is our getaway hotel for the last few years, during our birthday celebrations. The hotel and wonderful garden are so beautiful, quite, classically decorated and welcoming. The only problem is parking. The hotel offers 5-6 parking spots on a first come first get policy (which always worked for us), but this might be challenging for those checking in late. On the other hand, public transportation is very close by and very convenient so you may consider to park at the general parking areas of the train and arrive by train to the hotel.
