BALQUISSE Heritage Hotel

The authentic Bali feel. The staff couldn’t do enough and the room was so nice. 2 showers in the room and the bed was amazing. Nothing to dislike.

The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The decor everywhere was unusual and very special. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night's sleep, which is so important to a traveller. There wasn't anything to dislike. Perhaps the doors to the rooms could be better as they weren't very secure. However, we didn't feel unsafe at all, so maybe this is unnecessary. It was a little difficult for our driver to find the hotel, so maybe clearer signage.

Exceptional vintage luxury property, this was our favorite place in Bali. A peaceful oasis just off the main road, and only a few minutes from the beach. Absolutely stunning design and attention to detail, it was like living in a movie or in AD. Very large rooms, with balconies or patios, huge bathrooms. Plenty of privacy, but also opportunities to share travel tips with other guests. 3 beautiful pools in fabulous gardens. How to resolve the conflict of lingering in this paradise, or exploring the island ?! A nice problem to have. Only wished we could have stayed longer.

The only part that was disappointing, if any, that there was a photo shoot in the morning during the yoga class, which disrupted the positive vibe, there were no evening events hosted as there was a low occupancy and there was some unannounced maintenance work. But even with that, it was still a 10 out of 10!

The little teak hut where I stayed is just wonderful. No need to say more. Breakfast choices are diverse, healthy and creative - very nicely thought through. A variety of pools available. My bathroom had problems with hot water. Fortunately I could use another bathroom of the adjacent teak hut

It is close to airport, yet was quiet and relaxing. Our flight was changed and we had a hard time communicating to reschedule.

The gorgeous architecture , linens, Balinese sculptures and touches everywhere , lovely toiletries , luxuriously soft towels , amazing staff It’s expanding rapidly which unfortunately , makes it lose a little bit of the intimate experience it once had . We lost power for 5 hours before check out , which was not the fault of hotel , but Because of the dark and moody interiors you could not see in the bathrooms . Which made you not be able to get ready to leave . They should invest in a generator

We stayed at Balquisse Heritage Hotel for two nights. Overall, it was an okay experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture and decor that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a different era. It’s a very romantic and peaceful place with a lovely atmosphere, perfect for couples looking to unwind. The staff were wonderful, very kind and helpful throughout our stay. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The pool area and gardens were also gorgeous and very well maintained, adding to the relaxing feel of the hotel. It’s a charming boutique hotel that truly shines in its design, food, and service. Not stroller friendly

A beautiful hotel set in a great location near to the beach and shops. We enjoyed the amazing food, facilities, and picturesque hotel very much. Would definitely return! .

The staff were lovely, the ambience was nice, and the hotel had such a beautiful historical charm, it was great having 3 pools to choose from for having a dip, and it was just nice to chill in the garden. and finally, the breakfast was absolutely sensational - so many choices, and so tasty!! The only problem was the drainage in the shower/bath was not great. We only stayed one night so i didnt complain, but it could be improved. Otherwise, no other issues.

The hotel design is beautiful, they also have afternoon tea for all guests. A little difficult to find the entrance as the signage's color is faded and same entrance with other hotel. The check in staff not very friendly, while restaurant staff are nice.

We loved everything about this hotel. As it's family owned you get all the charm of a B&B with all the amenities and service of a 5 star hotel. Unlike larger resorts, everything has a personal touch. The grounds are gorgeous and the hotel is beautifully decorated. We toured around Bali and stayed at some really great hotels including quite a high end 5 star resort in Nusa Dua, but this was by far our favourite. Would 100% want to stay here upon every visit to Bali. Tranquil. Peaceful. Gorgeous. Nothing at all!

Beautiful, expansive grounds! So peaceful after long overnight flights to Bali. Spacious rooms and very comfortable beds. Delicious meals prepared onsite. Staff was welcoming and kind. A bonus for us were the historic buildings and furnishings in the common areas from the days when this was a coconut plantation home.

If you are someone who appreciates fine design, this place is for you. The grounds and the interiors of the rooms (we tried 3 different ones) were. fabulous. Loads of nice touches and French antiques. Very quiet day and night. Yoga classes included and the (3)pools were fantastic. Wi-Fi. We gave up complaining after 3 alerts to the front desk that it wasn’t working. It would kick you off of each of the dozen or more networks after a minute or two. First room smelled like a musty basement. They tried to help it with a plug-in dehumidifier, so they obviously knew something was wrong, so why put us in there in the first place?. When they tried to explain why—the place was fully booked—I went online and showed them 3 rooms in 3 categories that were open on Booking.com. Only then did they transfer us to a new room.

Design, yoga studio, little extras and property on the whole were all top-notch. Breakfast was superb. Location was quietly tucked into a large resort setting. Rooms were light and airy. Drove you to the beach in a vintage WV post-WW2. Struggled with check-in to a room not suitable for stay, but it was quickly rectified thanks to Fian. Wi-Fi was hit or miss.

Beautiful gardens and peaceful considering the location. Great for a photo shoot. The rooms were very dark and oppressive. There was no privacy you had to keep the curtains pulled the whole time.

Excellent hospitality, quiet grounds, well-appointed & inspiring rooms, and breakfast that you look forward to each morning and 3 pools.

The whole ambiance was one of calm. We loved the fact there were so many small areas to relax, both inside and out. The furniture and decor were perfect. The food was delicious. The most important remark we have is about the wonderful, friendly and efficient staff. We would definitely return to this wonderful hotel. Nothing
