About two hours later, another staff member arrived and was able to change our room. Unfortunately, the second room had blood stains on the bedsheets. We were then moved to a third room, which also has visible mold.

The staff there was just like family to me, everyone was nice and friendly. by the time I left it was like leaving family. Even with the hurricane hitting and being without power for hours, I would be happy to stay there again. My room was clean, and well taken care of. Breakfast was filling and delicious. most places charge for breakfast, but it is free here. Didn't use the hot tub or pool. It is a beautiful place in a beautiful city. And one big beautiful Island. If you go there, plan ahead. You will need a rental car. and if you are going to do any paid tours book them early. By the time i decided I wanted to do something they were booked.My highlite of my trip was to be there when Kilauea went off. the next day i checked on it, and it only erupted for 9.6 hours

Very good

I do not like the added parking fee when parking is not even convenient. There are not many parking spots, parking area around the building is not well lighted. Pool is small, breakfast ok. Staff very friendly.

We checked in a little early, and while our room wasn't ready, I was promised it would be ready by 3pm. When I came back at 3:15, others were being given their room keys, but not me. I asked why and was told "you asked for the room with a view", and I told them at that point I would take any room, so she proceeded to get a room key for me. I asked if I would be refunded the $10 for not having a view that I had paid, she said she couldn't do that, but she would refund the parking fee, but she had already charged me twice for parking, and I think she did refund one of those charges. We got no apology whatsoever. When we arrived at our room, the door was already open. It was clean, but not secured.

Exceptional

Checked in on 08/15/26 hotel had no power from 5 PM and did not come back on until after we checked out the following morning. Incurred additional expenses for meals because the hotel's amenities were not available. Would like to get a refund for my stay.

Found hair in my shower that was there a few days ago

Everything was just ok. The location was awesome.

Staff/Manager-Albert were very kind, friendly, accommodating. They made every effort to make us comfortable. Building is old, so it smells little different.

The staff and the service was really great. Manager guy very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. I will highly recommend. The hotel itself is old. But it's clean.

Only thing lacking was the the complementary breakfast. I would definitely return for the convenience of location and the price if you’re not looking for anything super fancy

Room was typical hotel room - The room had a strong smell of mildew. Toilet was very dirty - other than that - average stay

The location is a very short walk to Kona oceanfront and all the shops and restaurants. There is no extra fee for parking. Staff was very friendly. Detergent to be provided for laundry services.

The front staff was very helpful and polite. They answered all our questions and very helpful with suggestions on attractions. What I really didn’t like was that housekeeping never swept the floor didn’t refill toilet paper . We stayed for a week and the only made the bed once. But other then that the have a gym swimming pool and breakfast is included. Walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes away you can dine and shop along the shore.

The staff were kind and very helpful. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good.

The breakfast was great. The people were great. The bedding was a little damp, but that’s being in a tropical island.

Great service and friendly staff

Room was missing items such as body wash and staff did not respond to several messages. Breakfast was okay but pancake machine was making them too light. The location is ghetto and they charge for parking. The entire area charges for parking when location is very poor with lots of homeless people.
