Cavo D'oro Resort

The room was modern, the air con was wonderful, the bed was very comfy. Staff on reception were friendly as were staff in the dining area. A 5 minute walk to Crystal beach and lots of lovely restaurants. Towels changed every two days and rooms meant to be cleaned, however the bathroom, toilet and shower were never cleaned the whole week we were there. Was glad to just be breakfast only as would have been extremely disappointed if went all inclusive. The food was not great. No fresh fruit for breakfast, but cooked veegetables? Lots of bread, a salad area and some cooked breakfast items and cakes. Lots of wasps about, wasn’t very clean. Most definitely not a 4 star hotel, a 3 star at best.

We liked the rooms and the hotel cleaniless. Our room was cleaned every day to a good standard. The decor and hotel environment was pleasant. Receptionist very pleasant on arrival to hotel. Although there was a good selection, the food was edible but could have definitely been better. The pool area lacked personality and we ended up going to a different pool hotel with a decent bar attached with music. More effort needs to be made here.

Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and relaxed. Free safe Not a great view from the room and put in the family area, so very noisy most times. No frills when we said it was our 30th anniversary. Expensive bar. 5 euros for a coffee. Poorly planned restaurant as coffee machine was blocking the doorway causing chaos. Restaurant was so busy we had to go out 3 times for breakfast in 1 week.

The location was good, just 5 min walk from Kalamaki beach and 5 min car ride from the city centre. The pools were well-kept and clean, also the area was very spacious. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and with a lot of options. The sunbeds were a bit old and not that comfy.

The structure itself was fine, in a quiet street with shops and restaurants nearby. The pool was nice and the price was really good We had a 2-rooms bedroom but there was only one air conditioner. Therefore either you renounced to your privacy by keeping the door between the rooms always open (and also in this case the other room remained a bit warm) or you suffered the high temperatures but got your privacy. The toilet broke on the third day (wc wasn't flushing). This meant a continuous noise and the impossibility to use the toilet. After reporting the problem, the staff sent someone to repair the wc but the day after the same problem occurred again. We had to use the toilet in the reception the following days, which is unacceptable! The room was full of ants. A protective glass around the shower would have been nice.
