I love the location and the building itself. We had a terrible sleep the first night as the Main Street Autobon was in full force, Unfortunately with air conditioning in the windows, it was very noisy. The staff was helpful to move us but again, garbage trucks showed up at 6:05 am, So I love the charm of this place but my sleep was terrible.

The room is very clean, staff very nice and helpful. However the location is right by the street, you can barely fall asleep. Feels lay on the mid of the street. Front desk dose have ear buds which helped a little bit.

Lovely hotel! I loved the vintage old west atmosphere! Delicious breakfast too!

The hotel was clean. There are no amenities like microwave or refrigerator in the room. Overall, it is a nice remodeled historic building.

The staff were excellent and the hotel itself has a really lovely environment. They also provide a wonderful breakfast, which we thoroughly enjoyed. There are a few things I think are worth mentioning because they may be important to some travellers. Because of the age and history of the hotel, our room was very small. There wasn’t really space for a luggage rack, and the bed was a queen at most and wasn’t very comfortable for us. Our room also faced Main Street, which became quite noisy on the weekend with people driving up and down the street showcasing their vehicles, mufflers, etc. We were told this is regularly happens on weekends. I appreciated that the hotel warned us about it when we arrived and provided earplugs. We were also able to leave the air conditioner running on fan mode, which created enough white noise to help considerably. I actually feel bad mentioning anything negative but I think these details are important to know, as the small rooms, bed comfort, or street noise could be deal breakers. Otherwise i think you'll love staying in this charming historic hotel and it excellent main street location.

The staff was wonderful. Very cozy and inviting common areas downstairs. Excellent breakfast!!!

Worst experience stayed in this hotel. First, the room is tiny and shower like a steam. The most terrible thing is noises and felt as on a busy street. Then found a big gap between window frame and air conditioner opening to outside. Upon persistent request we were switched to another room which is little bit larger and has a smaller window gap but still too noisy. When we complained about noise, they provided unwrapped earplugs. Second, breakfast was very salty. Third, about parking, pay $12 to park next to the building or free to park on street. This is the worse hotel ever stayed.

Cozy & clean hotel. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good as well.

A renovated hotel in the heart of the downtown district. Pros were it's charming and uniquely appointed lobby, plush carpeting in the hallways/rooms, and modern bathroom and comfortable bed/linens. The breakfast service with real china plates, and non-typical offerings of coffee cake and quiche were excellent. Cons were no curtains on windows, which made the room not dark enough (my opinion) for optimum sleeping, very low water pressure in the shower, and street noise was loud due to the older, single-pane windows

VERY LOUD TRAFFIC (MOTORCYLCES, CARS...) ALL NIGHT. NO PHONE TO CALL HOUSE KEEPING OR FRONT DESK. DOGS ALLOWED IN THIS HOTEL SO THERE WAS ALOT OF BARKING DURING THE NIGHT. I THOUGHT STAYING DOWNTOWN WHERE EVERYTHING WAS WALKABLE WOULD BE GOOD. I DEFINIATLEY WOULD NOT RECOMEND. PARKING WAS $12 A DAY.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Beautiful old hotel. Parking at $12 seemed high. But what really ruined the experience was the hot-rodding up and down the Main Street all evening Friday. It made it impossible to enjoy a stroll to patronize local merchants and kept us awake when we planned to get up early the next day.

When we checked in, they thought we had requested 2 doubles but we had requested a king. It was a very full because of a wedding so we could not change. They do charge extra for parking so I suggested they let me park for free because of the mixup. We did agree on that. As others have said, it was noisy on the street. Breakfast is very good and coffee was 5 stars. Staff were friendly and were helpful.

Cost: Options in the Kalispell/Whitefish/Glacier area were all very expensive since we needed 2 separate rooms or 1 large room. Family room at the Kalispell Grand Hotel it was the lowest cost option for our dates by far. Check in: We arrived early & had a red bus tour scheduled in Glacier at 2pm. The front desk took all our luggage and brought it up to the room. Lobby/Breakfast: Breakfast has a decent selection. Lobby is nice to sit in, with a few extra nice bathrooms. Included popcorn & cookies later in day. Easy Parking: Right behind the hotel, they give you a placard, never had trouble finding a spot. Location: 15 minutes from Glacier airport. Walking distance to everything in downtown Kalispell Hotel Condition: Clean and recently renovated. Here are the only cons: Noise: The downtown strip has a lot of loud cars (especially on Friday nights). Not the hotel's fault, just a product of the location. Rooms: Bathroom door could not fully close, room is mostly taken up by the beds. They are fine for a shorter stay or if you are packing light. Older building limitations. Overall an affordable option with a good location and nice ownership

Historical Hotel Located to central walking distance to many places. We randomly found this hotel when passing through. Nice clean rooms. Pillows were plush and the bed was comfortable. There are window AC units, but were nicely taken care of. Staff were friendly at check in and check out. The breakfast was home cooked, the quiche was amazing. If you are looking for the historic feel, would recommend staying here.

Over all great historical hotel. Staff very very friendly. Morning coffee was excellent. My room was good though no closet which I did not like and bathroom very small. But location for me was excellent so wonderful overall

Amazing breakfast, lovely staff. The room was a little small for 4 and air wasnt working great so they had a wall unit in the windows. It was a little loud. The gave us 10% off for this inconvenience.

We only stayed one night. The front desk was not very welcoming. The manager we saw the next morning when we left was very friendly. Overall it was just a cold feeling and we would not stay there again.

Everything was pretty good but the room we got had missing fixtures and no refrigerator, microwave or coffee maker. There was coffee available in the lobby around breakfast and the breakfast was excellent. I had to ask for water which was kirkland water bottles at night. Our air conditioner was 8" from the bed and had bright blue lights. Between the lights and the AC going on and off I barely slept. Was unable to set TV to widescreen so the picture was squished into a square. The beds were meh with good bedding. Loved the feel of the old Hotel. It would have been great if i could have slept well. Woke up tired and exhausted. For the price I expected better rest. The staff were great.
