Lizo Hotel

I liked the pool at the hotel and that they helped us find a transfer to the airport. Also the owner of the hotel was always helpful if we needed anything. It was possible to order dinner or lunch on the terrace. Breakfast was simple, which you have to pay extra for if you book a room through booking. On arrival our room was not ready, some towels were missing. There is no wifi throughout the hotel. Only on the terrace. The room seemed quite dirty to us, some of the lights in the room had a burnt out bulb. There was mould in the bathroom shower. Also no TV in the room, as is standard in hotels. The booking description wrote checkout at 11:30 am at the hotel they told us at 11:00 am.You should expect to walk 15 to 20 minutes to the city centre or the beach. I felt that there were more disadvantages than advantages in the hotel.

Absolutely nothing It did not look anything like the photos online . It advertised a bar & restaurant There was no such thing . A room with a fridge & honesty box . We booked & paid for a double room for our grandson & his partner & he was given a twin room when he challenged this he charged for an upgrade.. This room was not much better

Firstly the communication from the Hotel owners prior to arrival was brilliant. Ali and Sarah kindly arranged my airport transfer which was a first class VIP service. Also rooms were nice, airy and clean with Aircon. Perfect location as it is close enough to the old town but also far enough for a peaceful experience. Would definitely recommend as a solo traveller as it is a safe environment and the hosts are very attentive to everyone. Food is served fresh and was lovely every time on the rooftop restaurant which has the most charming views of Kalkan! I will be returning! Can't really say there was anything I didn't like.

Lizo hotel is a fabulous hotel. The facilities are excellent, clean and tidy. The bedroom we stayed in had a lovely sea view and balcony and was a really good size. Ali and his family are very attentive to their guests and make you feel at home - nothing was too much to ask. They make some amazing turkish food so definitely eat some on your stay. The swimming pool is a great size, and there is a pool bar to get drinks. It’s not far from Kalkan town and is therefore walkable (though we did get a taxi back due to the hills). Me and my partner will most certainly be returning in the future and we recommend you give it a go! Nothing.

Ali and Sarah went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and smooth sailing, they were fantastic hosts and always happy to go out of their way. All the staff were friendly and spoke good English and the rooms were comfortable with great AC. Wifi is only in public spaces so doesn’t reach room but this isn’t the end of the world and was nice to have a wifi detox!

Ali, wife and kids were amazing lovely people - Lizo Hotel and Kalkan are a must! We will definately be returning to Lizo - great people, great food/service, really helpful and so accomodating. It was our first time in Kalkan and we loved it! They made us feel right at home and everything is personal which was perfect! Location is amazing 15 minute walk or cheap 3 minute taxi to town centre.

Friendly family hotel with welcome reception Swimming pool and roof terrace Clean and spacious bedrooms with aircon Home cooked fresh breakfast Not far into the town centre Location was up the hill from the harbour and old town. Ok for us, but maybe not so good for people with mobility issues

Extremely warm welcome on arrival from Ali, met both of his parents over the couple of days we were there and had the same hospitality shown to us from them. Nothing was to much trouble! Rooms clean and comfortable and the pool was a added bonus!

host was super helpful and lots of fun. room was clean and newly refurbished pool lovely and private views amazing a kettle in the room would have been good as sometimes the restaurant wasn’t open. it is a good walk from town but for us that was fine

Staff were amazing. Mine and my brother flight was a night flight, and the manager kept in contact all the time as he had arranged our transfers. He made it all very straightforward. Would recommend this hotel I cant say there was anything I didn't like. Maybe I could say not enough plug sockets ?

Location was a 10 minute walk into the city and my room had a beautiful view of the pool. The owners, Ali and Sarah were extremely accommodating and friendly

the owners were friendly and helpful . rooms are very basic . there was no bedside lamp, no kettle,no in room telephone for reception the air con did not go below 18 degrees. breakfast was extra charge. the balcony was small . there were lots of steps up and down to access the apartment and the pool and the bar. pool is small . wi fi does not operate in the apartment rooms only in pool and bar area. I am making a direct comparison with staying at happy hotel Kalkan for the same price which offered so much more in terms of view. room comfort, space, sunbed quality , breakfast , location , food and drinks choice and cost, pool size, etc .

Great value hotel with lovely hosts Sarah and Ali. Nice 'local' feel with lovely secluded pool. Air-conditioning in bedrooms and a small balcony, some with views. Great roof terrace with views over the bay, serving wine, beer and food. Close to lovely outside bar called Pascha Nothing of note. Showers took a while to get hot and the rooms aren't big, but great value
