Turk Evi

This was my favorite place to stay during my trip to Turkey—simple, quiet, and truly comfortable. I slept deeply every night. The host was incredibly kind and supportive throughout my stay. One morning I had to leave very early and couldn’t make it to breakfast, but they thoughtfully prepared coffee and a sandwich for me and left a note on my door to remind me to take it. When it was time to check out, I looked back a few times because I really didn’t want to leave.

The rooftop view was absolutely stunning and the Turkish breakfast was outstanding, the best by far that I had for my entire Turkish visit. The owner, Selma, was just beautiful, so graceful, stylish and welcoming, as was her elderly mother, family and brilliant staff. It felt like one beautiful extended family and as a solo traveler they made me feel extremely safe and welcomed.

It is clean and comfy with a beautiful rooftop terrace, from which you can have the really gorgeous view of the bay. Nothing

Couldn’t rate this place highly enough. Stylish and tasteful, the roof terrace was the perfect place for breakfast and also to curl up with a book in a comfy chair. Fabulous views of the bay over the rooftops. It couldn’t have been better.

We had a wonderful stay at Kalkan Turk Evi! From the moment we arrived, the host and the staff made us feel right at home with their incredibly friendly and helpful service. The location is perfect — just a short walk to a variety of restaurants and cafes. I definitely recommend this guest house to anyone who is traveling to Kalkan. Nothing

Everything about this hotel is excellent. Breakfast was superb local produce . The view was fantastic. Very friendly owner and staff. Couldn't ask for more. will definitely try to book again when around the Kalkan area.

The house itself is beautifully decorated in a traditional style and everywhere has an elegant feel to it. The rooms are also large, airy, practical yet stylish. The beds and pillows were super comfy. The terrace where breakfast is served is fabulous with glorious views across the bay. It's accessible all day, so it's a welcome break in the scorching heat. The breakfast is wonderful, with a huge selection of fresh ingredients, including grapes from their own vines and homemade preserves. They also offer wonderful home cooked evening meals at a very reasonable rate. Just tell them in the morning and it's all prepared for a very convivial evening with other guests. Selma, the owner, is very gracious and helpful,with many insights into living and visiting Kalkan. She also has a wonderful, friendly team supporting her. I would definitely recommend staying at Turk Evi if staying in Kalkan as it's a welcoming oasis from the hustle and bustle of Kalkan. NOTHING

Everything was great! Comfortable spacious rooms, delicious breakfast with local produce! We loved the coffee! The atmosphere is nice. Breakfasts were on the terrace with an incredible view! We really appreciated the possibility of parking our car inside! Everything was perfect!

A wonderful stay. Everything was perfect, from the lovely host Salma, to the room which was large and very clean, the beautiful rooftop balcony with a great view (perfect for breakfast), the excellent location (short walk to restaurants and beach). If you are looking for a relaxing stay in a small hotel that feels and looks more like a traditional house then I highly recommend Turk Evi. Nothing, everything was perfect

We spent an amazing week at Kalkan Turk Evi and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The first thing I want to highlight is the hospitality of the entire staff. We were warmly and graciously welcomed, despite our late arrival, and felt like valued guests who could always rely on their help. Our room was impeccably clean, as was the entire property. Breakfasts on the terrace were excellent, with a breathtaking view. We always found a spot to park our car conveniently near the hotel (free street parking). It's a 15-minute leisurely walk to the town beach (with a slight incline) or up to 20 minutes by car to popular beaches like Kaputaş and Patara. The sound of cicadas adds a uniquely authentic atmosphere to the experience, but if you have sensitive hearing, consider bringing earplugs.

The house is stunning and all the facilities are very well looked after, the breakfast was delicious and had a wide variety of foods and all of the staff were wonderful and very helpful!

Friendly and warm owner and staff, spacious room and bathroom. Beautifully designed home. Lovely breakfast on a wonderful terrace with sea views. Location perfect for swimming and restaurants. Public parking available for free on street above. Nothing really but one difficulty was when coming by car we couldn't immediately locate the property as its down steps from the road and the sign wasn't that clear.

Turk Evi was a real gem in the heart of the old town of Kalkan. A beautiful and tastefully restored Ottoman house, we loved staying here. The roof terrace was wonderful for a drink at sunset and for breakfast which was delicious. The home made jams and Turkish breakfast was excellent. What was particularly memorable for us was meeting Selma. She could not have been more friendly and helpful; was fascinating to chat to about Turkey plus was around all day and evening. Nothing. Just be prepared for a steep walk to anywhere in Kalkan.

Everything. Beautiful location, lovely hosts (Selma and her staff), - simply could not do enough for you, impeccably clean, a breakfast that was amazing and a place I would certainly return to. I really enjoyed my stay. Nothing.
