Phuket Golden Sand Inn - SHA Extra Plus

Breakfast time is 7-11am, very flexible for me. The staff are very friendly. My room balcony faces to the road directly, sometimes it could be very noise in the night. Also, WIFI connection is not so great.

Very close to Karon Beach, literally 100m from it. The noise from the main road was frankly unbearable, especially at night with the constant flow of partygoers heading to or returning from Patong Beach with the radio pumping or people just randomly honking to be cool... this is a real issue and has in fact ruined our stay due to very poor and fragmented sleep. The rest of this hotel facilities are otherwise dilapidated and in need of a serious refresh. Won't be returning.

I thought the older interior of the rooms was kind of fun like the 50s being so close to the beach was wonderful. Very beautiful garden. I felt like the cleaning personnel was kind of pushy. I was a little bit late getting out and she just kept yelling at me. Get out get out. I was out 15 minutes after checkout. ?

The location is excellent as across the street from the beach, and only a short walk to restaurants and shops. Stayed in both a bungalow room and the hotel building room. The hotel room was more updated, and comfortable. The property is a bit run down but not so much that I would stay again.

Perfect location, in front on the Karon beach and has good eating options nearby. Even tough on the main junction, the rooms and pool and quite inside which gives perfect privacy. Pool is also good and big.

Nothing special, but yes, just pillow sheets looked very used yellow. Otherwise, everything was up to mark

Maybe needs some renovation, roads are under construction and room needs good TV and other furniture. Overall everything is perfect?

Very nice hotel. This place feels like a 4 star hotel. I don’t know why it’s rated as 2 stars. Lovely staff, clean rooms, no bad smell. A/C is quite good. The hotel has a good greenery. It’s so nice to rest under trees near the pool. Also very good breakfast! They keep filling dishes and beverages untill the end of breakfast time (which is 11 am!) They provided me mosquito repellents both plugged in and sprayed on tan versions. They always helped me whenever I needed help. Also hotel’s restaurant has many delicious food options with affordable prices. Also there is a beautiful lake back of the hotel. I love this hotel ❤️ Around 10 am and 8 pm internet was interrupted for ~2 hours. I used my cellular data so that wasn’t a big issue. For travelers: May is not a good time to swim at Karon beach. (Patong and Kata beach as well.) Waves are 1-2 meters ?

Very good

The pool area is really nice and it is in a great location! The rooms were kept clean and was provided free bottles of water. Also if you are wanting to go to Patong for the day, it was only 15 mins in a taxi. We also got breakfast included for free and it was surprisingly nice. It has continental items but you can also order food to be made fresh. The room we stayed in was on the small side, there was 2 of us and we struggled to find space to put our things. Also no safe in the rooms. Loads of mosquitoes and only one plug socket in the whole room. Also the door had a gap which is why we think the mosquitoes could get in. Majority of the other people staying at the hotel, weren’t very friendly or nice which made us feel uncomfortable at times and not wanting to sit by the pool.

The room was a bit smaller than we expected and the mattress was not comfortable

The dining room location was excellent and the breakfast menu was extensive and good quality. The bathroom door frame was low and I kept banging my head.
