Located in the center of this small and cozy town, close to restaurants and beaches. Lots of food options nearby. There was a great view from the window, but you just have to turn your head to the left/right to view it, as in front of the window there is another building. The host was very nice and helpful with us. The rooms were clean and the AC was a big plus. Loved the medieval vibe of the building. There is a payed parking right in front of the building. The rooms and the bathrooms were very small, couldn't realy fit an open luggage in the room. The shower was clogged, water was almost coming out. Had to stop the shower several times. I think there might be termites or something, because it was a very wierd sound at some points as if something was hollowing out wood coming from the walls or floors. Didn't actually loved the fact that you had to go trough a restaurant to the rooms.

Loved how clean and comfortable it was and the great communication with the host.

This was a pleasant surprise, we weren’t expecting much for the price, but found it very quaint and perfect for us. We only stayed one night, would have loved to to spend more time in this area. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The hosts and housekeepers were very accommodating.

I think the table for the food.

Convenient, perfect location, clean, quaint, comfortable, exactly what we needed after a late night landing at the airport. Well, nothing negative about the property itself, but lugging heavy suitcases up 4 flights of stairs. But that’s our own fault, we shouldn’t have packed so much!

Loved the location across the street from the water. Close to a pedestrian zone with lots of dining options, including their co-located Konoba Dominik on the ground floor. The owners were very communicative and had detailed information for everything I needed before even asking. The room was very clean and nicely appointed, with a good sized bathroom. We actually rented 2 different rooms, the top floor comfort room and the 3rd floor standard room. Both were excellent. It's impossible for a town built in the 1300s to have on-site private parking, so if you're driving, understand that you're going to have to find a spot somewhere and pay for it most likely. That's not the property owners' fault but do be aware.

Great location and very cozy. Room was quite small. A little difficult to open suitcases.

The room is very small but that is to be expected in old buildings. We didn’t find it to be a problem. We were able to park right in front of the building but that might be difficult at busier times. There are some free parking spaces and some paid. The paid ones are free at night after 7:00 pm starting October 1 and after 10:00pm during high season. The street in front of the hotel is one way but Google maps doesn’t show that so it took a couple of tries to get there.

Great location. Proactive communication and quick response time. Beautiful view from the 4th floor room. The hike up 4 flights of stairs with a suitcase late and night, but this was communicated and expected. And there was no standup shower, there was a bathtub with a hand held shower hose.

We had a very early flight out of Split, so we were looking for a place to stay the night before that was convenient to the airport, yet was also in a location that would have a nice atmosphere and good places to eat on our last night in Croatia. XIV Century Rooms more than delivered on that! Our room had old world charm, along with well functioning air conditioning, a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. It was also very quiet at night and the windows have a shade that you can pull down to make it very dark. The Kaštel Novi also has all the ambiance of Old Town Split and Trogir, but without the onslaught of tourists (at least while we were there in mid-September). Our hosts were exceptionally communicative and detailed prior to our check-in. They also have a restaurant, Konoba Dominik, on the first floor of the building. We made a reservation there for the evening, and it was delightful. One of the best meals on our trip! Wonderful food and warm service. I highly recommend booking a stay and eating at the restaurant. Can't think of anything. It was great all-around!

Great location for staying near the airport. The staff was super friendly, the host explained everything in detail and they even organized a very nice meal for us after the opening ours of the restaurant downstairs. Thank you again for a a great stay.

The force of the water in the shower needs to be turned down. The force of the water is hard it hurts your body when it touches you.
-
Air-conditioning constantly turning off (auto off) after some (predefined?) time.

The hosts were AMAZING! Location was excellent and although we waited a long time to finally get food at the restaurant, it was delicious! Loooong wait to get dinner at the restaurant that’s below the rooms.

Very clean and comfortable. Loved it!

Very clean room with ensuite & AC in a lovely old original building. Our stay was for just one night. We arrived late but it wasn't a problem because of very helpful and friendly communications from Nina and Tanja.
