Centara Kata Resort Phuket

Good breakfast, ice cold AC in the rooms and a friendly staff. Nothing bad about the property. It’s just a bit older with a simple feel. Could use some updates. But it was clean and the staff was accommodating. Kids were bummed the water slide was undergoing maintenance as well.

Got upgraded to a suite which was great for my partner as she likes to sleep longer in the morning. Two pools also very nice, plus the pool is deep enough.

I loved the property and the facilities were great. Slightly dated but nice nonetheless. The staff were the best part of this place! They were genuinely nice and helpful and very professional. I would comeback for the staff! The lights in the rooms were lacking. The pool hours were not late enough!

Nothing Worst experience I ever had. We are a family with 3 toddlers and had to book 2 rooms. They were both in 2 different buildings and at the end they gave us an interconnected room through balcony door. It’s quite obvious that if I hook 2 rooms with 3 little kids the rooms should at least be close to each other. No elevator! If you are on upper floor you need to use outdoor stairs! Room was dirty and full of ants. We asked to spray and nobody didn’t do anything. Pools are not maintained and kids pool was under maintenance Food was very bad. Fish fingers for kids were rests of fishes just mixed together Beach is very far, about 15 min walk and very crowded. Not ideal if you have small kids. We didn’t like the property at all to the point that we just left after one night and went somewhere else

Great location. Very nice property that is perfect for families. The poolside foam party, complete with dressed up characters left a lasting impression and was fun. The breakfast buffet was very good. I recommend this place for the low-cost and excellent value.

Literally everything ! It was our first trip to Thailand and we just had amazing memories. Super friendly staffs, clean facilities, fun events and good food & drinks ! There were some occasions I couldn’t use the closest public bathroom to the buffet on construction. My kids had to go to the farther ones, but we could manage it. Nothing big, but a bit inconvenient ?

The breakfast had a slight change every day which was very welcoming. The kids club not taking kids younger than 4 years old. Our little one is 3.5 years old and they refused to take her. My husband and I just wanted an hour to go for a massage together but they refused. The ‘happy hour’ at the pool being different times every day of the week was also annoying. Just make it one set time for every day of the week.

So that place seems like a really old resort cause the doors were not working well like the balcony door in the area looks kinda like the outside of the area looks kinda like dirty but not the best looking like outside of my room and the AC is never really cold and hot water Like while you’re taking a shower hot water turns cold in a few seconds later it turns really really hot it just never at the same temperature which is really odd.

Large room and comfortable beds Central location with really nice front-desk, room-cleaning and security staff. Breakfast was really poor. After 3 days into a 8 days stay, we'd had enough of eggs, odd tasting milk and dodgy machine coffee, so we ate out of the resort, despite having paid for breakfast every day. Rooms are very dated, TVs either didn't work straight away or not at all (kept saying HDMI issue) The pool towel "nazi" had a go at both my daughters and my mother in law about pool towel returns, unable to provide towel when others weren't return - despite them keeping track of towels in/out. Pool bar was dead. Quiet, benches covered over, not manned, posters/displays missing... was left like Chernobyl. Kids water fountains non-stop, large water bucket banging away all day when it fills, tips over and then starts again... all from 7am - 7pm. location was okay, but unbeknownst to us, there are only two access points to the beach from the hotel, and they're both approx 15 minutes walk in opposite directions.

Everything! Was so sad to leave to travel to a different part of Phuket, wished I’d booked my whole time here. Staff are amazing always friendly and happy to help. Room clean. Food lovely. Totally recommend. Nothing. Loved

From the arrival the staff was extra kind. Whenever I needed something, or had any question, they were honest and straightforward. I value that a lot! Another advantage of Centara is their breakfast, I would highly recommend their omelet, my partner and I had 3 each every morning. The pool was also very good, I would say it is a good option specially in the rainy season. I would say that at this point and specially for the low season or rainy days, it would be nice to invest in Smart TVs. So people could enjoy watching Netflix, Youtube, or anything else. I believe that is an update that all hotels should do.

Location is great , staff are really really nice and it’s such a child friendly resort Breakfast was pretty poor but other than that it’s perfect

The room - we arrived hotel at 9.30 pm , 1st night we got the room which aircons doesn't work very well. We did not find good room to replace on that night. Next day - Nancy arranged the room for us. The Pool is good , plenty activities. Breakfast - less choices . Location - a bit far from beach.

Staff were very friendly , check in and out very good. Very far distance to front lobby from our room . Restaurant very quiet and night we went there were limited option

We were accomodated in newer rooms in a quiet part of the resort with separate pool. Breakfast was amazing. We chose twin bed in our booking but at the arrival there was only a double bed. Personnel told us that they have only few twin-bed rooms and all of them are already taken. But we got an upgrade to newer room with king size bed in a quieter part.
