The room photos online are a little odd. I honestly felt like they felt like a jail cell. Very creepy. But the beds were nice and the rooms were surprisingly large.

Breakfast is fantastic. Valet downtown makes loading and unloading a breeze. Friendly staff. Ideal location. Starbucks in the lobby!

Right next to State Street garage, so skip the valet. Rooftop bar is nice, but is maybe a smidge pretentious.

The hotel is situated in a great place near many dining and night spot options. The rooftop bar is definitely worth visiting to have a drink and take in the views (under 21 is allowed before 8pm). The hotel was nicer than I was expecting it to be and reminded me more of some of the boutique style hotels I have stayed in versus a major chain hotel.

Located in the center of multiple restaurants, theaters, bars, and shopping boutiques. No car needed. Walking is easier. Parking is available just behind building, if needed. Roof top bar open daily. Complimentary breakfast near lobby. Only issue was ac in our room, but they quickly resolved by changing rooms. AC in second room worked well.

Wonderful hotel to stay in when at UTK campus.

The location is great. The view from the rooftop bar is amazing. The staff is wonderful but when you walk in the door of the lobby it is dark, gray and depressing. Nothing about it looks inviting or fun. Also the HVAC in my room was so loud it was hard to sleep and the valet is very expensive.

The only negative was that the breakfast was not hot - sausages, eggs etc. Other than that the hotel was top notch.

The hotel exudes both its history and modern conveniences. Breakfast choices were very nice and we enjoyed the rooftop bar. We thought the room size was more spacious than comparable hotels. Another plus was the location. It’s walkable to many of the places we wanted to dine, visit and see.
