Secret Beach Bungalows

Waking up on the beach was fabulous and only steps away from great snorkeling. Easy Tuktuk ride into the local market. Would definitely stay there again!! No option for separate beds for the kids. Only had full bed for them to share. Very big hill to climb to get there so not for handicapped.

Secret Beach Bungalows is located in a magical place. The bungalows are small, but have everything you need, and you cannot beat being directly on a beautiful beach. The staff were courteous and very helpful. The restaurant was excellent, and accommodating. While the beach can fill up from late morning until late afternoon, the mornings and evenings were quiet, with very few people other than bungalows guests there. The beach is wonderful, the water warm, the sunsets magical. That we had to leave!

The villa’s location, views, and overall atmosphere are truly one of a kind. I’ve stayed in many places around Koh Phangan, but this one left a lasting impression. It’s ideal for unforgettable sunsets, clear turquoise water, and having a bar and restaurant right nearby. The staff were exceptional, too. And the beautiful Koh Raham is only a short walk away. That the stay wasnt any longer

Secret Beach Bungalows were absolutely dreamy - the staff were so great, it was amazing having some private beach space and guaranteed seats - didn't expect this! The view and beach were so amazing, and the thai food at the restaurant was so good. Amazing service, great little space to chill in, and awesome air con too.

Very nice staff and very helpful Anti mosquito net cant be closed properly, window drapes can't be closed properly, kind of nosy and a very small room.

Location I arrived on a very hot day (36°C) only to discover that the AC in my bungalow wasn't working properly. Even though it was set to 16°C, the room felt closer to 25°. I contacted the staff, but instead of helping, they insisted the AC was fine and told me that if I wasn’t happy, I could check out and leave — this was at 6pm, and as a solo traveler, finding another place at that hour was nearly impossible. When I expressed my frustration to the manager on duty, he asked where I was from. Upon hearing that I'm from Israel, he made an incredibly offensive remark: "Oh yes, it’s always you Jewish people, acting entitled and always complaining." I was shocked and deeply disturbed by this blatantly antisemitic comment, which he made without hesitation or remorse. The next day, I was moved to another room — which turned out to be cheaper than what I had paid for. No one mentioned the downgrade or apologized until I brought it up myself. The bungalow itself was disappointing — it looks much better in photos than in real life. The facilities are dated, the bathroom was tiny, and there’s no outdoor lighting at night, making it unpleasant to walk around in the dark. While the beach is beautiful, it's located downhill. Every visit means a steep climb back. Without a scooter, the area feels isolated, and it's about a 1km walk to reach restaurants or shops. Overall, I felt unwelcome, disrespected, and disappointed — both in the service and in the place itself. Would not recommend.

Best place in koh phangan, great restaurant, great staff, great location, rooms are a bit small but its worth it. So fun to wake up for the sound of the waves

Although all of thailand is plagued with ants and bugs, they could spray some more repellents to cut down on ants and mosquitos in the bungalows.

Such nice Bungalows and the staff is very helpful with the luggage and everything plus they were amazing with our one year old toddler. The Secret beach is nice and the lost and found bar has some yummy food and it is close to Koh Raham and its fantastic restaurant

The bungalows are directly on a small beach which is a real paradise! The place is really exceptional! The bungalow itself is very nice, clean and well equipped Just the dogs that bark every morning but that is the problem everywhere in Thailand.

I absolutely LOVED Secret Beach Bungalows. I would return in a heart beat. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The food was also excellent. We intended to eat all over the island but actually ended up eating most of our meals at the bungalow restaurant. It was all so good! The music at night was lovely. Alternates between acoustic sets and small bands. All of the places to hang out on and around the beach are so cute! There are swinging chairs, bean bags, etc. There is another side bar that has additional drinks. And it's an easy access to the neighboring hotel. As for the beach, I loved the feel of it. I watched workers clean the beach in the morning, but it's not manicured in a sterile way. The water is super clear and the snorkeling out a little bit is pretty good. The sunsets are absolutely unbeatable. The room is barebones, but the listing is very very up front about what to expect. It is a bed (not too comfy not the least stained), a bathroom with a curtain-less shower, and a few shelves. You're paying for the location though. And for that price, you can't beat it. We even kept our windows open throughout the night so we could wake up and look out over the ocean. Also, new water bottles every day. And we were greeted with a delicious free drink! It might have been nice if the sheets were a bit cleaner. They weren't dirty, but they were definitely stained. Again though, the listing is very up front about how it's not a fancy fancy location. The WiFi hardly worked when we were there. It was nice to disconnect, but I wish it had worked better so I could have looked things up. There are also a lot of kids! I was surprised honestly. And it's not just kids that come for the beach during the day, but there were kids staying there, too. We were there for our honeymoon and kind of expected it to be mostly adults.

Sheets were a bit uncomfortable but still a wonderful stay.
