Sunrise on Hills

We can't say that it's a "Homestay" as no owner stays at the property. It's properly been maintained by their caretakers "Jesi" and "Sathya", so we can say it's a privately managed "Guest House" So first the Pros means the plus or good things about the property/stay and management. 1. No doubt the property from outside is very beautiful. proper garden, flower plants, green trees, lush green grass even it is surrounded by tall Pine trees at the adjacent land and as it's almost the 2nd last property on that road/lane/gully so in a way it's secluded, and peaceful. Every day 2 -3 times a family of Bison comes to graze next to the property on the pine trees open land so everyday you can enjoy watching them and click some pictures from a safe distance (at least 10-12 mtrs.) within the property boundary 2. It is also nicely constructed from inside, having 3 floors, including the ground floor, and it's constructed upside down which means you enter from top floor where four rooms been built for stay purpose. They have 4 rooms each floor, and 2 floors have rooms which means total 8 rooms property and the down floor (ground floor) has reception and dinning area + kitchen + activity room (if you wish to play carrom or watch movie in a group) 3. The best thing is the main caretaker (Ms. Jesi) who is an awesome cook and polite. I can vouch for her cooking and we complimented her almost everyday, whenever we enjoyed the food prepared by her. Every bite was a delight. We stayed for 3 nights and almost had our breakfast and dinner at the property only , most of the time. We reached almost 7 PM on 17th of April-2025 and requested for dinner as we were too tired because we visited Kodaikanal from Bengaluru in our own vehicle, which took almost 10 hours of drive, and we are so grateful that on such short notice she prepared Dosa for us with yummy chutney. Now the minuses : 1.Rooms/Property- small, if you need an extra bed or mattress in the room, then no scope. Pillow covers had blood stains, We 3 people including a kid stayed, and they provided only 1 mini soap and a shampoo sachet, no hand wash was there in the washroom and the jet spray of the toilet was broken, though next morning till 10 AM they replaced it with the new one but till then we had to use the toilet of another room. TV don't have sound and no cable connection so every day one issue been resolved that is one day toiled jet spray taken care of, next day cable connection restored and last night TV been replaced from another room TV for the sound issue so basically TV was only been used on the last night of our stay and next day we checked out. Though we went on leisure trip and have no issue whether TV facility is there or no but if you are travelling with kids, the kids will not understand what to do after reaching the hotel room as they can only pass their time by watching TV and parents can't help them as they will be tired after whole day of sight seeing and driving. 2. WIFI - not at all working, and don't even try to scan the given QR code to access the wifi because the moment you scan their QR code of wifi your phone network will also stop working if you are inside the property. 3. Caretakers - everything is good about them but if you don't know Tamil, then communication is a challenge as they hardly understand english so you need to struggle a bit to communicate and make them understand what you want to say 4. Management - They do have a property manager "Mr. Vijay" but he stays in Madurai and visit only once a week at the property and he only can speak English so for any issue you need to first call him and inform or struggle to communicate with staff if you don't speak the local language. Till the time we stayed at the property I have not seen the manager even once. 5. Reachability- 100 Mtrs.
