Shelikof Lodge

Location good. Room was clean, quiet. Staff friendly. Microwave/fridge handy for fixing breakfast each day. Hot water came quickly. Neither bed was very comfy, but okay.

Very convenient location. This is the least expensive hotel in town. Quick reservations online. The room coffee maker (with coffee in filter packets) makes terrible coffee. The bathroom needs remodel with trim separating from the wall and water leaking on the tile around the toilet. Clearly an aging facility with deferred maintenance.

Easy walk from downtown. Friendly staff. Clean room. The beds sagged a lot, and it was hard to get a good nights sleep.

Great location right in town. Very clean with daily housekeeping. Staff very nice. Property needs an updating. Wifi is finicky, usually slow, and sometimes unusable. I had to run to a coffee shop one time when I needed internet. Still, I would stay here again.

Nothing Everything

The location is good and the staff were friendly! For the price, location and cleanliness of our room, it fit our needs perfectly! I would stay again. They offer a hotel shuttle to/from the airport. Shuttle was not running and sounded like it hadn’t run in a while. It is best to have some taxi/cab numbers to get around as Uber/lyft aren’t on Kodiak. I wouldn’t say this is something I didn’t like about the property but more of a heads up if you’re staying there and expecting this service.

Restaurant was not open. Location was perfect for the crab festival and hiking on Near Island. Most staff was fine.

The hotel was close to downtown where we needed to stay. Staff was friendly. Room was decent. The rooms were definitely dated and smelled a little musty when we went in.

I always like the Shelikoff. Last year I was crowded into a basement room that was a bit dank but this year was on the second floor and all good. Staff is always friendly in an Alaskan way. No pretense, competent and helpful. wish they would open up their restaurant again

Exactly what I expected. It suited my needs. Good price and location. Availability was great and was accomodating to changes in reservations. It's a bit outdated. The McDonalds drive through next door was very noisy and interrupted my sleep.

Lodge is a bit dated, but clean.

There was no breakfast. Didn’t like that Paint!!!

It was close to downtown. That’s about it. Dirty, seems like they take shortcuts to keep the place clean. Half ass cleaning.

The facilities are clean and comfortable. They were accommodating to hunters. They didn’t have a shuttle to and from the airport at the time of our stay.

There were no kitchen, meals or anything to that sort. A bit pricey without a kitchen.
