Anyavee Tubkaek Beach Resort

Firstly this is a 4 star hotel/resort. My comments are based on the expectations around this rating. I am not comparing Anyavee to other options in Krabi. Our deluxe room which had been updated having both a fan and aircon was sizeable, well maintained, had a wonderful view and well laid out. The included b/fast meal was more than generous for a 4 star hotel- lots of options, fresh food, room with a view, comfortable and good service. The SPA service was excellent- massage. The reception staff were always willing to help even if their English was limited. The Tour desk was available daily . The older parts of the hotel are v charming with lovely architecture, cool, airy passageways, well laid out with many connections to Reception. The grounds and gardens are delightful .The pools seem very clean and well maintained. The beach bar service is excellent. The restaurant food is very good. My view is that I got what I paid for so nothing. Would be great to see the rest of the resort updated to the same standard although if it allows for greater affordability that's good too

Another wonderful holiday in a superb room

We had a large room with a terrace and a great view of the bay. Lovely beach location, tranquil, with very limited boat traffic. We booked an early longtail boat to Hong Island directly from the captain (Oh, see pic) on the beach. It's only 20 minutes away so you can beat the boats coming from more distant locations. Breakfast was great. Sunset happy hour at the beachfront bar was too, and the food there was good also. Pool was large and clean. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. It was all good.

The hotel pictures and reviews were great which is why we booked it. Upon arrival, the entrance is unassuming and looks like you’re entering the rear of the hotel. The upkeep of the hotel is really poor.

Beautiful, quiet beachfront location. Lovely swimming pool. Our room was large and the bed very comfortable, with a view of the sea. Staff was helpful and friendly. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Happy hour at the beach bar at sunset was great. It was easy to arrange a long tail boat, booked directly from the captain on the beach, to pick us up in the morning and take us out to Hong Island, just a 20 minute ride. Which offers all the beauty of Phi Phi Le with half the crowds. No complaints, we had a lovely stay

What can I say! This place is amazing! I have been here three times. My most recent trip I brought a friend and when she got sick, they took care of her like she was family. They took her temperature, brought her medicine, and gave her a dark room to rest in while we waited to go to the airport later in the evening. The breakfast is excellent, and the views are unbelievable. They have a great selection in their restaurant for food. Another great thing is that you can hop on a long tail down on the beach and go to another many islands, or you can arrange a guided trip with the hotel themselves. This is a perfect place if you’re looking to unwind and relax and be away from the crowds and many tourists you’ll find closer to the city 10/10!

Facilities, staff and room are amazing. Great pool with sunset view. The bed is a bit hard. It could be more comfy.

An excellent choice. So much varied food Beach facilities were very basic, however the beach and sea were natural.

Beach, pools, location, view, very large and well designed room, a nice bath tub at the balcony, pancakes at breakfast, collecting clams and corals along the beach, good access to Koh Hong with a longtail boat Coffee needs to be improved, a lot of steps to walk (maybe not suitable for people who need wheelchairs)

Exceptional

The perfect beachfront pool villa with the comfortable bed, the amazing and clean private pool, direct door to the beach and lots of places to sit together and drink a beer, cocktail or eat a nice meal. The staff was always very helpful and kind and the breakfast was great. Also easy to catch a taxi or bolt to ao nang for going out in the evening. Everything was just perfect !

The news where amazing that was it The hotel is dated, and in poor shape, the room we stayed in was in bad shape walls, all marked tables and chairs all scraped small bugs all over the floor and bed. We booked for 3 nights, but we stayed 1 only because we could find anywhere else until the following day I paid good money and got poor quality. Booking .com should be ashamed of themselves on giving this a great score. All other guest reviews are dated to 2020 as the most up to date on website. I went to the trip adviser and saw the ones the week before we stayed, and they all said the same as me. I know I can't get my money back, but I hope people read this and think twice before booking with you guys.

One of the best views. Dinner on the beach watching the sunset over the sea and islands nearby. Nice water temperature in the swimming pool. Good breakfast. Staff was not as friendly as in other hotels in Thailand. Mostly old people in the hotel. Children playing loudly are frawned upon by other guests. The place is isolated. The only option for lunch or dinner was the hotel restaurant or taking a taxi to town. Rooms are looking rather old.

The private beach. Very peaceful location and amazing views. F&B staff was quite helpful (especially the manager) Unfortunately we booked a jacuzzi sea view room for a special occasion but that was tarnished when we had to deal with engineering for an accumulated time of about 5h because: first the jacuzzi was super dirty, second because it didn’t work and when they fixed it for the first time it broke down again. Only then did they offer to move us to a different room. The manager from front office was of no help since she didn’t explain that the other rooms that were available on booking weren’t available on site, and offered only 10% F&B discount on drinks (even tho she said food and drinks first), which is a ridiculously low offer for the stress caused.

Good location on Tubkaek beach, helpful staff and good breakfast options including fruits and hot and cold items. Could do with refurbishment in some rooms and common spaces. No activities available for kids or adults other than hiring kayak/padelboard.

Exceptional

The view was sensational The room was old and the jacuzzi hardly worked. Some of the pool areas had very slippery floor, which was a hazard for kids and adults (one of them fell). The hotel stuff was often slow on the requests and/or not friendly. The 1 room - 1 key policy is unheard of, quite inconvenient and hard to understand since we had a card key.

Hotel very shabby. When shown to our room we immediately noticed that the shower area had dirty black mould. The windows on the corridors outside we filthy dirty. The pool area hadn't enough loungers and a number of them had legs broken. The overall impression was so bad that we decided to forfeit the money we paid for the four nights and leave to find another hotel !
