Uptown Eco Hotel

We arrived at 2:30 and asked if we can check in early. The staff insisted that we wait until 3:00 PM to check in. Probably the room was not ready.

Hot water, dining table/bench, iron, location is just opposite the market. Parking is convenient. No sink outside of the bathroom. Only 1 pillow/person and was too high for the neck. Not enough plug points.

Great stay!

Huge room. Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Convenient location Mosquito in room. Check in only from 3-6pm. Windows not insulated for noise and hotel is located next to mosque and main road

Nothing At the time of booking, there was no clear indication of any additional charges for extra guests. The information regarding the extra guest policy was only shared after the booking was confirmed and payment had already been made. Furthermore, even in the follow-up email, the specific charges were not clearly stated. During check-in, I was then requested to make additional payment for extra guests, which came as a surprise as this was not transparently communicated beforehand. For clarity, I had booked the room based on the information available at the time, and any additional charges should have been clearly disclosed prior to confirmation and payment. The lack of upfront transparency has caused inconvenience and dissatisfaction.

The unit was huge. Everything there looks new. Loving the woody and rustic concept. The parking was quite difficult

This was our second time staying here, and I was initially still impressed with the hotel room design. However, this time the experience was quite different. I booked a family room with two queen beds for my family of five (myself, my husband, and our three daughters aged 13, 8, and 5). The receptionist informed us that the room was only for three adults and considered my 8-year-old as an adult, which required an additional charge. I was quite surprised, as we had specifically booked a family room with two queen beds. Classifying an 8-year-old as an adult was honestly unreasonable. In addition, one of the queen beds had a comfortable mattress, but the other bed was extremely hard which felt like sleeping on a wooden board. The difference between the two mattresses was very noticeable and very different from our stay here last year. After all, we paid the extra RM30 anyway. Take my money! hahaha. That said, I really like the hotel’s location as it is within walking distance to Pasar Payang. Unfortunately, I dont think im going to stay here again. I have stayed in many hotels, but this was my first experience with a hotel classifying an 8-year-old as an adult and applying an extra charge.

The floor a bit dusty.

Location was perfect, in the center of the city and just beside Pasar Payang. Near to everything. Room was big and suitable for family of 4. Car park a bit limited as need to use the public parking. But need to improve a bit on the room housekeeping and cleanliness. Not soo bad but a little improvement would be better. Got 2 queen bed inside the room but one mattress was soo hard as it was made from coconut fibre. Better to change this mattress to comfortable one.

Room is big with separate bed room & hall with dining table & mini kitchen. superbb!!. definitely will repeat soon.

There were only 2 small coffee/tea cups, no glasses. In the sleeping compartment, there was no socket near the bed to put the light on and off. The switch was outside the room near the entrance door. So a torch was needed to go in and out of bed.
