everything is ok... parking space not suitable

Location was great (close to the waterfront), room and bed were very comfortable and the hostess (Miki) was very responsive on WhatsApp, kindly permitting me to shower after check out due to a delayed flight. Does not have the social atmosphere nor activities of a hostel, so it is difficult to meet fellow travelers as a solo traveler.

Near everything . Clean . Bathroom should be taken care by modernization.

Location was good. Right in the middle at the waterfront.

the location is perfect

Bad smell through out the building

Location Room without a window, even if on the pictures all rooms have windows, there was no description of a windowless room while choosing option. No reception and no person to talk about an upgrade. The hostel has a little kitchen, but no one directed me there so I didn't know until almost leaving. Everything smelled really bad, the room didn't seem clean, and the bathrooms were small, smelly and not too clean.

Location, comfort, price. Great launching point for exploring Kuching!
-
Very clean, good beds and kitchen with everything you need!
-
Thin walls, but we did not have a problem with it since the place was pretty empty and everyone was respectful.
-
Very thin walls so you can hear the faintest sounds from the next room. Apart from that, there is nothing to complain about, a great place with access to the kitchen and nice people

The room's location was great and it is a historic Chinese shophouse with rich wood interior and floors. It's an unmanned hostel with an entry code so the only staff I saw was the Malay cleaning lady and her daughter who would come every morning and they were cheerful and friendly. The hostel smelled of hydrogen sulfide gas, particularly on the first floor. I think they had an unmitigated drainage problem in the pipes somewhere that was causing the smell, and it was enough to knock you out if you used the first floor sink. I could usually smell it upstairs even in the mornings. The walls are paper thin. I could hear conversations late at night and had a hard time sleeping sometimes. I feel its expensive for what it is. You can get a proper hotel room with private bath for a similar price elsewhere. I stayed because both wikitravel and lonely planet recommended it, but for me it the smell of rotten eggs and noise made it less than ideal.

location is strategic. towel is big size. bed is confortable. we can early check in if available. bathroom quiet smelly. if we dont close our room door properly, the bad odour will come to our room.

I like the staff, they're so friendly and always smile when they meet the guest. I mean, it obviously the owner of the hostel already put the "do's and don'ts at the lobby. But that night a lot of people drunk and it's scared me a little bit ?. It's not comfortable to sleep at night because of the noises they make.
