The rooms were nice and clean, the hotel staff was also co-operative. The only thing they don't provide a pickup service from airport niether the hotel car, nor they arrange any cab service where you can pay, because being a foreigner when you have bags in hand sometimes you cannot trust the local taxi available outside.

The Wyndham is a newly renovated and very clean hotel in Kunming. I appreciated both along with support from the staff for booking taxis, a dessert they brought me on my birthday and the lovely seating area in the lounge. The design is very pretty and there is a beautiful wooden table for tea. I would like to give a particular thank you to a wonderful lady on concierge there called Blue Wu. On my last day I was very unwell with food poisoning. She took me to the pharmacy to get medication, helped me to get some extra air in my room which I needed with portable ventilation machine, she organised biscuits and honey to be sent to my room top to help with the nausea, brought me warm water with lemon and honey - the first time I asked for it, the second she did out of her kindness and paid for my taxi to my next destination herself. She also checked up to see how I was feeling the next day. She is an absolute credit to the team in terms of professionalism, efficiency and warmth. Her English was also really appreciated. One thing to note is that the windows do not open much as the rooms are high up and I did not feel that the air conditioning gave adequate air in the room after a few days.
