Hotel Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa

Bathroom was luxurious, beds were very comfortable, pajamas and robes were very nice. Complimentary snacks and drinks were perfect after a day of sight seeing. Our room was quiet and even the hallway smells nice! We enjoyed watching the raptors out the window near the river.

I felt like I was the only one in the hotel. So quiet and peaceful. The location is perfect. Across from the river in a neighborhood where you can experience real life. Families and authentic restaurant and culture. Close to trains for all the Kyoto attractions. Lovely staff and accommodations. Nada. It was ideal

Clean, modern hotel with professional and helpful staff. The location was nicely away from the touristy areas with fews of the river and cherry blossoms. Great walking distance to good local restaurants, café, and shops. Nothing.

Our stay was incredible! The room was very spacious and comfortable. The daily Japanese breakfast was incredibly delicious. Everyone was so friendly, providing VIP level of service. The free beer tap in the lobby, free daily treat left in our room, the page with the daily weather information, and free drinks in the mini refrigerator all added up to an outstanding experience. While the location is a bit North of central Kyoto, this beautiful riverside location is only a 5 minute walk to the train station.

Everything about our stay was exemplary. I had to make a last minute lodging change due to travel dates and decided after reading reviews to book our stay here. What a find! Perhaps we lucked out because It is away from downtown but don't let that deter you! I can't say enough good things about such a special locatio. We thank everyone at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa for a memorable stay.

We loved the location- a beautiful quiet neighbourhood with many temples within easy walking distance. The room was the best we’ve ever stayed in. We were sad to leave.

Large and comfortable rooms at the top floor as we booked the compact room, with all the amenities you could wish for and many drink options in the mini bar that are stocked up daily. Location was really good. The best were the staff. Genuinely friendly and going above and beyond to help you, five star hotel staff. The bath was also a nice experience as there is a little window. To look down on traffic. As we were on the top floor, the common area terrace was right next to our room and we loved having a drink with city views.

The location is right on the river, very beautiful. Very close to a range of cafes/restaurants. We tried half a dozen different ones and loved them all. Great community feel, people were playing musical instruments and doing artworks along the waterfront. Walking distance to the Shimogamo-jinja shrine and the Imperial Palace gardens. Short train ride into the centre of Kyoto. It is unfortunately next to the police station, so there is some traffic/siren noise sometimes.

Lovely boutique hotel with wonderful and very helpful staff. Very comfortable and well appointed rooms. Quiet and away form the hustle and bustle of the city. Near the river with a nice walking path. Easy walk to the bus station and very accessible by Uber. Would stay there again.

The hotel prepared the breakfast and dinner very well, and there is a warm hearted gift when we back from outside. Very nice and sweet.

Beautiful location on the river with a nice shopping street and train station nearby. Staff were extremely helpful when we had questions about how to go see a baseball game in Osaka. Very attentive staff who even call the elevator for you. N/A

The hotel and room were exceptional and furnished to a very high standard. It is close by the train station and has excellent transport links to popular tourist sights. Loved its location by the Kamogawa river. We saw fireflies and black kites when we were there. We loved the little personal touches like handwritten notes everyday telling us what the weather was going to be like and good wishes, also being invited to take part in Tanabata festival. Little treats of snacks and drinks left in our rooms to enjoy daily. The exceptional kindness and interest taken in our trips to the sightseeing events. We won't forget La, the English speaking young hotel receptionist who brought our breakfast every morning or Kameyuma the manager. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Nothing we did not like about the hotel. It could probably use a automated washer dryer for laundry but there was a laundry service nearby, so just a minor quibble..The hotel is perfect and I would gladly recommend to everyone.
