The place is very central. At night we heard a little sound from the street but it did not affect our sleep. Receptionists are very kind and helpfull.

Bed was very stiff and a bit uncomfortable, we found ourselves tossing and turning all night.

The location, the staff and it has a private bath. The rooms are small so it might take some getting used to if you're sharing. The pillows were not comfortable. Not overly quiet on a weekend there is a nightclub next door and you can hear the party outside. They do stay this on their website so it shouldn't be a shock to you of you wish to stay here. The noise wasn't crazy keep you up all night it's just hints of sounds. But the location is great.

It’s in the party district, so you have to be able to sleep through all the revelers outside that make a lot of noise through the wee hours of the morning. Not the property’s fault, but worth noting. The rooms are also quite tiny and hard to move around in, but I think that may be normal for Japan.

- The location of the hotel is very central, a few steps from the river and from the main shopping streets, full of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. It is also close to many bus and metro stops making it super convenient when exploring Kyoto. - The hotel is very modern with clean stylish rooms - In the room some toiletry was available, as well as green tea and coffee. The hotel also provided free water bottles that were very much appreciated - The chek-in and check-out experience was smooth and quick - The available onsen was a very nice touch, with a decent size. Most of the times it was empty - Overall we recommend this hotel. For short stays is extremely good in terms of value-price as other hotels in the area are very expensive - There was no laundry facility in the hotel but there were many laundromat nearby so this was not a big issue to us as we used it only once - The hotel staff informed us right away that since the hotel is near many clubs (one directly next to the hotel) and pubs it could get noisy in the evening / night. Our room was located on the fifth floor and we could hear some noise but it didn't cause any problem to our sleep also because the windows were very thick. We stayed 11 nights and the noise has never been a problem to us. The hotel is very kind to provide ear plugs in case of need (we did not use them) - In the onsen, there could've been more beauty products (like body cream and lotion) - The rooms have a lot of storage but are small. If you have two big luggages you cannot have them both open at the same time

Great location, short walk from all of the interest points. It’s on a lively street but they are fully transparent about it so that’s a plus and the noise wasn’t that bad. We felt quite uncomfortable and unwelcome by the lady at reception. She was really cold towards us from the very first second.

Good and central location near restaurants and public transport. Room was clean and the amenities were good. Duvets were thick and very comfortable. The grand bath was especially enjoyable after walking all day. The hotel was very clear up front about the neighbouring night club and informed us by private message as well, which was appreciated. Our room was on the non-night club side and although you could slightly hear it during the night it didn’t bother us at all.

Clean room that is well located. It is near Sanjo metro station (5 min) and also the main shopping street which also has stops that serve many of the important bus lines. Onsen is clean and comfortable for a soak especially in the winter. Though there were many reviews stating noisy streets / club that blasts music throughout the week, we stayed here for one full week and had no issue with either. There was minimal noise if any. Perhaps, our room type (twin) meant that we were facing away from the club so we did not have to use the provided ear plugs at all. We weren’t awaken by any drunk person in the middle of the night as well (as described by some reviews) Staff could be friendlier. Did not understand why the cleaning can only be done if you put out the room keeping sign on the main door each day. Sometimes you may just forget and you return to a room that hasn’t been cleaned. Bath robe wasn’t removed too which I thought should be given the same treatment as used towels.

It came as an unexpected surprise as there is plenty of sakura trees along the river just right outside of the hotel. Although we were warned of noise at night but it was actually quite minimal (this is subjective but we were not bothered by it), it might be due to our room's location that is next to the alley instead of sticking next to the neighbouring building which is a club/bar. A possible improvement would probably be a guide on using the AC particularly to switch it to heating (maybe its not supported I'm not sure)

The room was small but the size of the bebed was very nice A little noisy but the staff put us in an area away from the noisy bar.
