The staff was so attentive with us, the breakfast service was perfect and delicious. Everything in this hotel is soo good, I will recommend this hotel to my friends.
-
Location I couldn’t sleep because the bed was very uncomfortable. Honestly, if there is one reason I wouldn’t book this hotel again, it would be the bed. Otherwise, everything else was good.
-
Very nice location, near the shopping street and surrounding by many good restaurants The breakfast is the same everyday

Perfect location, helpful and friendly staff, huge comfortable room, it was a highlight of our stay.

We had a fantastic five-day stay here. The staff speaks excellent English and strike a good balance between being professional and friendly. The hotel is at an excellent location close to public transportation, plenty of dining and shopping around. For its central location, it is surprisingly quiet at night which is fantastic. As this is a boutique hotel, you don't get large gyms and extensive breakfast buffet but the tray breakfast is very nice and the more intimate experience is much appreciated. The rooms are well appointed and spacious especially by Japanese standards. The bathroom is especially nice as the bath/shower, toilet, and sink are all separated but can all be closed off with a sliding door for privacy. We'd absolutely stay here again!

This is a boutique stile hotel in a very central location of Kyoto. I’d say it’s more a resort than a hotel, very nice place. It’s the best hotel we stayed in over our one month trip to China and Japan. The stuff is very attentive to their guests! We arrived a few hrs before the check-in time and were greeted with hotel manager Alex who gave us a lot of information about the area and suggestions of what to do locally before the check-in time. The size and the layout of our room was absolutely outstanding (considering the very minimalist layout of the most of Japanese hotels!). Room cleanliness was impeccable! The in-room breakfast was delicious and nicely presented. Nothing! I’d like to stay longer…

Location Very simple design, breakfast is very basic

Small hotel in a quiet street but very close to bus and metro stops. Nishiki market is 5 mins walk. Staff is very friendly, especially Don. Hotel is clean, comfortable, has an outside terrace (although the cushions are rather thin). Breakfast is served either in the lobby or in your room and is nice. Room is very spacious and the bathroom is very large with a rainshower and normal shower, and, in our room, had a very large bathtub. Will definately stay again when in Kyoto Nothing.

Very big room and great breakfast
-
Minor age related wear in room.

This is a lovely boutique hotel in a central location. They upgrade me to a room on the fifth floor that was fabulous, comfortable and stylish. Service was friendly and helpful. I just loved it Nothing

The room, the staff, the cleaning
-
Great location— quiet street but just off the main big shopping street and close to the Nishiki Market. Bed was very comfortable and daily cleaning service was well done. Breakfast tray delivered to room was nice (basic breakfast)

The staff was so accommodating! Gosh The bath area was amazing! The living area is very comfortable. And there was plenty of great restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay here again. No complaints.
-
Best hotel on my Japan trip by far. Luxuriously spacious and high end rooms for a reasonable price. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was large and upscale. The entire room was huge for a Japanese hotel room. Incredible location. Walking distance to everything. Staff was helpful and they held our bags final day while we shopped till later. They make you leave the hotel key everytime you exit the property which is a little weird but I understand since it's old style metal key and they don't want them get it lost.

The sheets smelled like they hadn’t dried properly

Such a good location, spacious rooms, good clean breakfast Nothing it was great we even extended our days here because it was so nice
-
You can’t beat the location. The staff were so friendly and helpful. So many places to eat nearby and it was really nice having the bar in the lobby to begin or end a night out. Can’t beat having breakfast brought to the room on your schedule every morning. I will definitely stay here again when refunding to Kyoto. Nothing.

Room was very comfortable and easily accessible to public transport. Nishiki market as 2 blocks away. Subway was 900 ft from the property. Nothing. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Set breakfast was delivered each morning between 7-9am. Great assortment of egg, fruit, breads, coffee/tea. Very comfortable rooms with nice decor and lighting. Plenty of room. Staff was excellent and spoke great English. The Aiyo Shijo izakaya next door was very welcoming and friendly too (and open late). The hotel has a comfortable bar with great selection and staff. Doesn't have the facilities of larger hotels (restaurant, gym, pool/hot tub), but not needed because of everything in proximity and get a workout through walking around Kyoto. There really isn't anything I didn't love about this place!
