Mosquitoes, and rooms were too hot

Location is beautiful , somewhat remote . Property is beautiful . We - two women - were alone at the property the first night - no staff on property, no other guests . We were less than comfortable with this . Not even bottled water was available for us , shower only handheld , a tub with no door or curtain . The second day there, we noticed a lot of activity on the patio and were informed there would be a large private party there that evening . This was set up right underneath our room windows. The party and noise went on until 1:45 am- music , lots of people . We chose this property for the quiet - and weren’t able to sleep well until quite late because of the noise. We were never shown around the property or the pool area , not given any directions for use of anything other than being shown to our room when we arrived . Overall, disappointing and frustrating experience .

The Bastide is full of charm and in a middle of a peaceful herbs, veg and fruit garden. We enjoyed the swimming pool after checking in and the chill atmosphere of the place. Mme Berard was so welcoming also! We had the chance to stay on a Thursday night and being able to enjoy a "diner éphémère" prepared by the chef Bernard at the property on the terrace. It was absolutely fantastic. We will come back for another stay It's a really quiet area but an old family house, so if people chat loudly inside the house you will hear them. Some guests were chatting at 5am the night we stayed and woke us up. It's unfortunate and our stay would have been perfect otherwise.

It was very authentic with a beautiful garden where you were able to taste the best fruits, vegetables and herbs. Also the prepared food is great!

The property is a traditional Bastide in a beautiful estate with a large kitchen garden (with fruits and vegetables grown for the Michelin starred restaurant in La Cadiere), with a beautiful pool and is dog friendly. Location is fab as it’s quiet in the middle of vineyards and olive trees but only a few mins drive to La Cadiere and only 15 mins from the beach of St Cyr sur Mer. The traditional bastide is charming but is showing its age and the bedrooms might benefit from a little upgrade with more modern facilities. Air con is for the entire house so can’t be adjusted for the room. No shower but a traditional bath. As the local area can get very hot, some facilities for guests might be welcome like a fridge to keep water cool or a garden kitchen to be able to have light/ cold meals. Also the rooms don’t have their own individual entrance so you might get noise from other guests as and when they leave their rooms
