I like how old and beautiful the house was. Do not care for the traffic noise but still a great place to get away with your family and couples.

The location of the Bed & Breakfast was very convenient to the dinner and event we were attending. It has a lot of potential to be a nice stay with some additional attention to detail. It would not take much more effort to greet guests in the afternoon with a drink and light snack, add some bottled water to the rooms, and put out some hot coffee early in the morning for guests who are up early. This would go a long way to improving the hospitality. Breakfast - From the reviews I read before booking, I expected a wonderful breakfast. Multiple reviewers mentioned that "Donna" made such an amazing breakfast, so I had high hopes. I woke early and went looking for coffee in the communal carafes. Nothing was provided for early risers. We paid extra to upgrade to the suite on the suggestion of the owner. The suite had a Keurig but I found only one Kpod and no cream/sugar were provided, so I don't think it was set up or ready for guests to use. When it came to the appointed breakfast time, we sat in the common area and waited while "Todd" finished making breakfast (and coffee). My daughter had to ask for sugar (only sugar substitutes were out). There was a carafe of orange juice but no juice glasses to use. He brought us each a plate of scrambled eggs, undercooked bacon, a piece of dry white toast (no butter), and a small croissant. Jelly and syrup were on the table, but no butter was provided. We sat there dutifully eating trying to be polite, but this was a serious disappointment. Where was the amazing breakfast everyone raved about? The reason we upgraded to the suite (for more money) was for the larger bathroom. We were going to an event and needed the space to get ready. We were assured that the suite had the most room/largest bathroom. It may have been, but of the four bulbs in the bathroom, one was burned out and the three others were all different colors and wattages. Not idea when you are trying to do makeup for an event. The location of the B&B on the corner of a busy intersection lends itself to a LOT of road noise. We thought when we moved from the front room to the suite in the back it would be better, but the house sits on a corner, so the room on the roadside was still very loud. This is not the fault of the owner, but something to note if you are a light sleeper or have a baby with you.

Location made it easy to get around the area. Also, the fruit served for breakfast (grapes and cut up strawberries) was tasty. The temperature in our room was 40 degrees when we arrived in the afternoon (the thermostat hadn’t been adjusted for the unusually cold weather in anticipation of our visit). It was 46 when we woke up the next day. Most mornings the breakfast area was very cold. Our first breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon and toast served on a cold plate. The breakfast fare was quite beneath what our usual experience is with B&B’s. We had to request butter daily for toast that was provided. The last two days it was in a bowl completely melted.

Nice outdoor area Temperature settings did not work. We froze for 3 nights. Controls in hallway, and furnace wouldn’t shut off

Only issue: We stayed in the Lafayette room...there is an outlet in there that does not work so we weren't able to plug-in our cell phones to charge them. We had to charge them in the bathroom that is located down the hall instead of our room.

The traffic noise made it impossible to sleep. The entire rest of the location and people was great. Unfortunately, we left early because we were not able to sleep.

The operators were very friendly and served breakfast in an area that was glass enclosed and looked out on a lovely yard. The house had some beautiful artwork and furniture and the room was very spacious with a comfortable bed.
