Great hostel ! Super nice host !

It’s in the middle of town, a 10 minute walk from anything you need. Beach included Small room for 6 people, but if you’re there just to sleep it shouldn’t matter. I thought it was cozy!

it’s run by volunteers / a few staff so it was hard to get a hold of the property. we got locked in + out a few times and no one on staff was around. but everyone I interacted with was lovely!

hostel is cozy , suitable for a solo traveler.

It's a cosy little place, very tranquil. The kitchen is extremly small and it's diffucult to prepare meals. It would use a proper refurbrishment.

Wish every hostel experience was like this one!! Super friendly and welcoming staff and the hostel feels like home! I have never felt safer or more comfortable in a hostel, and the location was very walkable to both the historic city center and the beaches!! Wish I had more time in Lagos!

A very special hostel that makes you feel at home. A small cozy building with lots of surprises inside! I recommend it to everyone and will definitely be back :)

Its a tiny hostel which means that you will be bumping into other guests. When I stayed there all of the other guests were females and it was lovely! The kitchen is small but roomy for 4 ppl to sit in the dining table. Its the best part of me as I got to make friends while making dinner! The 6bed-dorm is the closest to the kitchen and the walls are think so you will be hearing everything, keep in mind if you are a light sleeper that the 4-bed dorm might be the best but in peak season the street might be noisy! There are indeed only two bathrooms, main floor and upstairs. Apparently the hot water isnt consistent upstairs but I didnt use it during my stay. Hugo is very friendly and an overall great host! I would definitely come back :)

Location was fine. The bottom beds had curtains, however if you keep them closed, you get literally no fresh air. Been able to leave my backpack until the afternoon after check-out. This place does not deserve 8.2 rating. 6-bed shared room had a window which was facing the foyer to the shared bathroom with high open ceiling - no fresh air circulation and noisy. The room had a fan which was so loud that it was hard to fall asleep even with the earplugs in. The towel was stained. The locker barely fit the 30l backpack. The room was dark, messy, and way too small for 6 people! The bed was noisy and uncomfortable, no fresh air circulation AT ALL. The girls staying in the hostel were all 18-20 year olds, no age diversity even though the name says 18-35, just something to bare in mind if you're in your mid twenties. One small common area-terrace for relaxing, and a tiny kitchen. Worst hostel I've stayed in Portugal and definitely not worth the price!

It felt like a home, especially the room for 4 people was so comfy and the window facing the street was nice to have in a room (another room has a window facing the inside part of the house). The facilities are in good conditions and the small terrace was a good asset. I loved that all dorm rooms (2) were only for girls which made me feel truly safe. Volunteers there were really nice!

    Good

Lovely and welcoming staff, and all the other guests were also nice. Good location and felt safe. Facilities are quite rustic and a little run down, and no curtains on the bunks.

I loved this place and extended my stay several times. It's a cosy little hostel, run with heart and soul by the owners. I had an amazing time and made good friends there. Would definitely like to come back! Especially the female dorm is super cosy and has everything you need and more.

The short stay in the Buddha Bee hostel was completely great! The owners, Hugo and Melissa, are very welcoming and helpful. They were letting me keep my stuff during the day though check out was already due and even drove me to the train station in the evening for free!:) About the accommodation, the rooms are clean and tidy, the kitchen area has a lot of utilities to use for cooking and the whole hostel atmosphere is cosy and welcoming. Thanks for the amazing stay! Looking forward to to come again!

Its just so small. It makes sense cuz its cheap, but i was very excited to get out of there. Its simply too small to even move around Just too small

Great Location. The hostel feels crowded, dark and claustrophobic and the facilities could do with a major renovation. Also there was a weird smell due to poor air circulation
